Quite a growing collection

My wonderful wife, Chris, came home with a present for me yesterday.

She presented me with an autographed Brett Favre Green Bay Packers jersey.

I've been a Packer Backer so long I tell people I'm moldier than "Cheeseheads".

She keeps adding to the sports autographs she has already gotten for me, all at no charge.

In the past she's gotten me a poster and ball signed by "The Chairman of the Board", New York Yankees Hall of Famer Whitey Ford.

My dad would have enjoyed that. He used to enthrall me with stories of Joe DiMaggio and the Bronx Bombers when I was growing up. It was after his death, nearly 30 years ago, that I made one of his loves mine.

She's obtained the signature, on a cap, of "The Ryan Express". Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan.

I've got a ball signed by "Knucksie", Hall of Fame knuckleballer Phil Niekro.

She had Hall of Famer, "Sweet Swingin" Billy Williams sign a cap for me.

Golfer Hale Irwin has signed a hat for her too.

Unlike a lot of people today, I'm not going on E-Bay with this stuff.

Although this stuff could easily bring in a few hundred dollars, to me that's not why you get autographs.

FYI: Items pictured are for visual purposes only and are not actual items in my possession.
