American Hero

The man who piloted the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima Japan has passed.

Paul Tibbets had an Iowa mother named Enola Gay and that's how the plane got its famous moniker.

Revisionists say America didn't need to drop the Atomic bombs, Nagasaki received the other days after the first.

The reality is that it was a war started by Japan and they could have chosen to quit at any time, they didn't and the sole responsibility lies with them.

Tibbets said it best in 2002...

"I had no problem with it. I knew we did the right thing because when I knew we'd be doing that I thought, yes, we're going to kill a lot of people, but by God we're going to save a lot of lives.

"...we've never fought a damn war anywhere in the world where they didn't kill innocent people."

Thank you for service to your country Paul Tibbets.
