Out of my element

I'm far from being a good Christian, but the little I know of the religion focuses on forgiveness.

As in, "we forgive those who trespass against us".

I know even less about Islam, but why does it seem that Muslim's always speak of violence?

Case in point.

A Muslim imam's opening-day prayer at the Legislature has sparked controversy...

The prayer included..."I seek refuge in God against the accursed Satan," and "You are the pardoner, supporter and protector; and give us victory over those that disbelieve."


It's now wonder why there are those that question it as a Religion of Peace and the scientific community is united in that fact.
