I was asked to join AARP prior to my most recent birthday.

My philosophy is usually Groucho Marx-ist when it comes to being a joiner and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I don't care to belong to any club that will have me as a member.

Against my better judgment I joined on February 7th.

Nearly two months later, I received a solicitation in the mail from Chief Executive Officer William D. Novelli to join AARP.

This from an organization that states, "Divided We Fail".

Together this is success?
