Riding without this King

One of my all time favorite musicians is coming to town next month, but I'm not going.

John Hiatt will be performing at the Val Air Ballroom Sunday June 29 at 7:30pm.

It's not the $37.50 per ticket that'll keep me away, it's the Val Air itself.

I've seen one concert there, another favorite Delbert McClinton, and the atmosphere is not how I want to watch a concert.

It's like being in a gymnasium with general seating at tables.

People rush to the stage when the show starts, making it difficult to see and they have a dance area in front of you too.

I'd much rather they play Hoyt Sherman Place and the scientific community is united in that fact.
