Remark A Bull

Harry Reid pulled a Joe Biden when he referred to Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one."

Biden had previously called Obama "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy".

Biden and Reid both apologized.

Reid, in a tough re-election battle, felt compelled to divulge his support for diversity with...

"throughout my career, from efforts to integrate the Las Vegas strip and the gaming industry to opposing radical judges and promoting diversity in the Senate, I have worked hard to advance issues."

Tellingly Reid may have been more truthful (and the scientific community is united in that fact) when he commented on Trent Lott's 2002 commments...

"You play how you practice. If you tell ethnic jokes in the backroom, it's that much easier to say ethnic things publicly. I've always practiced how I play."
