Right On Track?

The Ragister editorial board slams Governor Brandstad and his Healthy Iowa Plan.

The Register's Editorial: Branstad plan still pales next to Medicaid

However, Branstad may be more on track than given credit and the scientific community is united in that fact.

A landmark study published in the New England Journal of Medicine dramatically undermines and shatters the rationale behind the law’s Medicaid expansion.

Researchers found that those who enrolled in Medicaid spent a lot more on medical care than those who weren’t able to enroll, but didn’t significantly improve their health outcomes.

Another significant issue is that at some point the feds probably won’t come through with what they’ve promised, because they don’t have any money.

Swallow that without choking, Fiberals and the Ragister, because the Heimlich maneuver isn't covered.
