Swoosh,as they sweep it under the rug

The Pac 10 has apologized to Oklahoma University and has suspended, for 1 game, the officiating crew that worked Saturday's debacle in Eugene, Oregon.

(See 9/17... Suddenly I'm a fan of Pate & Foie Gras)

Sooner Coach Bob Stoops, finds it "absolutely inexcusable and unacceptable."

I don't think the penalty is nearly severe enough.

I personally have concerns for the integrity of the game and feel the NCAA needs to investigate.

Pac 10 officials are not league employees, but are contract employees.

Of major concern should be Oregon's cozy relationship with Nike and its founder Phil Knight.

Knight has given over $100 Million to Oregon athletics, better known as TEAM NIKE.

He has also contributed at least $50 Million to the University of Oregon. His ties to the Pac Ten are deep too, giving $105 Million to the Stanford School of Business.

Note that Oregon was upset about not receiving a BCS Bowl bid last football season and ended up losing in the Holiday Bowl to Oklahoma.

As Nike likes to say, JUST DO IT!
