Mercy, Mercy Me

John Buckley of Carbon Footprint, an organization that helps companies reduce their carbon dioxide emissions, said Saturday that Live Earth will produce about 74,500 tons of the gas.

"We would have to plant 100,000 trees to offset the effect of Live Earth."

All that waste in the name of Ecology.

I'm glad the Earth survived the assault from those self-righteous, sanctimonious sob's.

Steve Howard, founder of the "We're In This Together" environmental campaign hoped Live Earth would "make climate change sexy".

He conceded that "yes, there has been some pollution caused by flying people in."

"But that's what we needed to do -- it was a calculated investment...".

The ends justify the means?

Al Gore said... "We are in a transition time in history when the only way we can get to where we need to be is by starting from where we are."

What?

Gore added... "If we simply spend our time criticising one another for where we are, that will further delay our departure for where we need to be."

That's code for I can make shit up and call you names, but how dare you question me.

It appears Gore departed reality awhile ago and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I found it odd that Gore's own network, Current, didn't carry any of the event.
