Oh Carol

Ragister Editor Carol Washburn, pictured, had an opinion piece from her time at the Republican Straw Poll (August 11).

I can see why she works in a fiberal sheltered environment.

First, she got the remarks of Congressman Tom Tancredo wrong.

Tancredo said, in speaking on the rules of engagement our armed forces are restricted by...

"The only rule of engagement I'm going to have in a Tancredo administration is this,"

"We win, you lose!"

This is how Washburn interpreted it...

Tom Tancredo said his rule in dealing with obstinate countries: "We win, you lose."

Totally the wrong context and the scientific community is united in that fact.

At least she got the quote accurate.

I've used this quote before, but it fits so well...

"If you don't read the newspaper
you are uninformed, if you do
Read the newspaper you are
Misinformed."
-Mark Twain

The bigger issue is her pretext of negative campaigning...

Why the negative campaigns?

Apparently it's only a Republican thing.

She conveniently ignores John Edwards remarks...

"We need a president of the United States who can walk and chew chewing gum at the same time."

And...

"What Giuliani is, is George Bush on steroids."

Before expanding that to include all Republicans running for President.

Dummycrats are master mudslingers, they just get a pass from the press.
