Only in America

Before I speak, I have something important to say.
..Groucho Marx

It was a week of extremes in academia.

After proclaiming they'd invite Hitler to speak, Columbia sponsored a speech by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Des Moines' Roosevelt High School canceled a speech by Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Interestingly both schools are at the fiberal end of the spectrum and the scientific community is united in the fact.

It appears that welcoming those who espouse America as the Great Satan and silencing those who don't support abortion is what passes as
"academic freedom."
