That's news to me
It appears WOI TV/5 has replaced anchor Lisa Carponelli (left) with Rachel Pierce.
Pierce moves to 5 from Omaha's WOWT.
Iowas Newz Liter is not sure that's a step up and the scientific community is united in that fact.
Carponelli is apparently moving to WHO TV/13 as an anchor, wonder who's out there?
Elsewhere around the dial, Sinclair has brought back Tiffany O'Donnell, at least at KDSM FOX/ 17.
I'm not sure if she's back on the air at KGAN or KFXA in Cedar Rapids.
You may recall Tiffany was dumped for Beauty Queen, Miss Iowa 2003, Linsey Grams.

not sure where you get your info, but you had better check again with lisa. she's getting out of the business to go teach at simpson.

Yeah check your sources for all of your stories.
During Lisa's final newscast she said she was leaving for a position at Simpson College.
Tiffany O'Donnell left KGAN/KFXA/KDSM to spend more time with family, she wasn't dumped. Apparently she spend enough time with her family and is now back on all 3 stations.
Pierce moved from a weekend morning anchor position to a main anchor position....so a step up for her. From what I've seen so far, it's another step back for WOI. Amanda Krenz recently returned to WOI and would have been a better choice to replace Lisa.

I think it is a step up for the station and I think that Pierce is a good choice for WOI. I think that Krenz isn't that good of a reporter and am glad that she didn't get the job as the main anchor position.

That would make sense that Lisa Carponelli would be interested in teaching/academia, considering she is/was the only local "celebrity" on the three stations who went to a real school.
