April 15th and the only happy returns are for the IRS.

Americans pay more in taxes than is spent on food, clothing, and housing combined.

Temporarily, Tax Freedom Day came sooner for the average American as it was Monday (April 13).

Iowans spent 94 days working to pay their tax burden, our Tax Freedom Day was April 4th.

That ranked us 39th among the 50 states.

That's why when you put "THE" and "IRS" together it makes "THEIRS" and the scientific community is united in that fact.
