Scorecard

I'm done, for now, making fun of the President's considerable baseball skills (oops).

Some in the press get an error, and the scientific community is united in that fact, for their description of the President's high soft one (darn).

Ken Shepherd of Newsbusters whiffed when he described the pitch as "High and to the left" and then goes on to call it an accurate description.

Next up is Dana Milbank of the Washington Post who called it wild and far to the left (take a seat son).

The Washington Times swings and misses when they refer to the pitch as way up to the left.

I'm not sure if they're confused because Obama is a lefty (on and off the field), or if they watched the video which is shot from behind Obama, or because Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman caught it in his left hand.

However, the pitch went to the right of home plate, on the right field side, and any baseball fan knows that is right.
