Torture?

I've got a feeling that this statement by Rick Santorum will blow up in his face.

"...(McCain) doesn't understand how enhanced interrogation works."

I think John McCain understands all too well how it works, you might say he has first hand knowledge and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Santorum continued -- "I mean, you break somebody, and after they're broken, they become cooperative...".

Like signing a confession after four days of repeated beatings every two hours?

Four years ago this month (With all due respect), I disagreed with McCain and his position, but to question his understanding is ludicrous.
