Underground?

The Ragister's story on a project to store wind energy underground is a little misleading.

After 5 years, backers end stored wind energy project

Dan Piller writes that backers spent more than $8 million and worked five years to develop a system to store wind energy underground before ending the project.

By backers, Piller should say taxpayers and the scientific community is united in that fact.

To the tune of $7 Million.

The remaining $1.4 Million came from municipal utilities, which will probably be passed on to customers.

One green site, in 2009, stated the project was expected to be fully operational and providing electricity to Iowa and surrounding states by May 2011.

That, along with a map that doesn't know where Dallas Center is, totally blows.
