A Jolt From My Electrodes?

Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) President Rob Denson was presented a Chevy Volt to use as his campus vehicle.

When not in use, the Volt will recharge from electricity manufactured by the Ankeny campus wind turbine.

Denson told reporters --

"Our turbine feeds into the energy center which goes right into the DMACC grid. So every time I plug this vehicle in over by my office, we know some of that energy is coming from the DMACC wind turbine".

Some?

That's just sad that their wind turbine can't generate enough electricity to completely charge one car and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Probably should have gone with the Roberts electric car instead.

115-year-old electric car gets same 40 miles to the charge as Chevy Volt
