Love And Marriage

Davenport man charged with bigamy

It's 2013, why is bigamy still illegal?

Especially in Iowa and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Legalizing same-sex marriage creates a legal precedent where there can be no valid legal premise for denying marriage to more than two people who wish to marry each other

Iowa has a long history of progressive thought on civil rights and it is time to stop denying people those civil rights.

They would definitely have to be validated by the Iowa Supreme Court  --

Our responsibility, however, is to protect constitutional rights of individuals from legislative enactments that have denied those rights, even when the rights have not yet been broadly accepted, were at one time unimagined, or challenge a deeply ingrained practice or law viewed to be impervious to the passage of time.
