It just got PERSONAL

I've vacationed on Maui every year since 1994, pictured is the pool of the complex where I stay.

I've also stayed on Kauai, Oahu and the Big Island.

I was not happy when I read this.

N. Korea missile aimed at area off Hawaii

North Korea may have targeted Hawaii to show the United States that it was capable of landing a missile there, or because it is home to the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific fleet.

I was on Kauai, in 1983, when the Russians shot down the Korean Airliner 007 with Americans on board. President Reagan was at his ranch in California and I recall thinking if it escalated and the Russians wanted to send Reagan a message, they could lob a missile into paradise.
