Droppings from a Byrd Brain

From the Ragister...

A Des Moines man complained to police Thursday that he was robbed during a drug transaction.

Joe Byrd, 35, was robbed in the 1300 block of 24th Street about 2 a.m. Here's what the police report says:

"Victim advised that during a drug transaction suspect pulled a black semi-automatic handgun and stated, 'Last time I got robbed, so now I'm robbing you.' Suspect took items from victim and fled in a red sports car-type vehicle. Victim mentioned his believes suspect is from Ankeny."

Byrd was not injured. Taken were his keys, cell phone, $90 in cash and his jacket.

In perusing the public records at the Iowa Court System I found roughly 70 cases involving a 35 year old Joe Byrd.

Robbery, Assault,Driving while barred, child support orders, trespassing, false report to law enforcement and there were many more.

To say the least, he's beyond 3 strikes and it'll be awhile before he's nominated for Citizen of the Year!
