An Inconvenient GIRTH

Is Al Gore getting larger because he thinks he is the planet?

I was really, really bored last night.

My wife, Chris left yesterday for a business trip.

I noticed that An Inconvenient Truth was on Showtime, so I decided to give it a go.

I never take documentaries at face value, I think it's a good place to begin and then research further if I'm interested.

I guess it's because I view everything with a sense of skepticism.

Things that stuck out in my mind from the docudrama were...

The intro from the Director (Crazy Guggenheim) about how it's not political, then mentioning how Al Gore should win the Nobel Peace Prize.

They tried to run with the "it's not political" charade for quite awhile. Then they would use some of their precious time to bash Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, President Bush and Senator James Inhofe (R-OK).

Then later on they told us it is political. Damn make up your flip-flopping mind!

They also tried to paint Saint Al in the most positive light.

How he should be the ACTUAL President.

There were times when it seemed like a campaign commercial

That combined with the near death of his son has helped him realize there is that one thing he was meant to do.

I couldn't believe that they tried to sell us on the fact that the Gore's quit growing tobacco after Al's sister died from lung cancer in the mid '70s.

The docudrama went on for 1 1/2 hours and then was an additional forty minute diatribe/update fro Saint Al.

I came away thinking how is Al Gore going to save the planet, when he can't even save himself.

Also, what we need is to put the Earth in a Giant Lock Box.
