Get the vote out

Yesterday I took my mother to a doctor's appointment, the grocery store and to vote.

Polk County had a vote on whether to raise property taxes to renovate the Courthouse.

What bothered me was that the polling place was in an elementary school.

Kids were walking the halls unsupervised and those "manning" the voting stations were all women older than my 73 year old mother.

Those doors were open to all kinds of riff-raff.

I just think in this day and age, it's a good idea to revisit schools as a polling place and the scientific community is united in that fact.
