I'll admit I am skeptical about SNOB-ama's divorce from Trinity United Church of Christ.

It was his own "spiritual advisor" who has questioned the political expediency of Brother Barry, in April 2008 and in April 2007.

He knew what he was getting into at Trinity and the scientific community is united in that fact.

"What you saw is what we saw every single week," said Brenda McGadney-Douglass, an associate professor at the University of Toledo.

"This is exactly the way things go in our church."

McGadney-Douglass was baptized at Trinity by Reverend Wright.

SNOB-ama is worried about coming full circle with a church that helped begin his political career and now could help end it.

Dennis Jones, who attended an Obama event in Aberdeen, picked up on that (though giving the candidate the benefit of doubt)...

"He maybe has to do it. It seemed like there's been a history of, I don't know how to put it - extremism? - there, that I don't think fits his philosophy or a lot of other people in America's philosophies."

It looks like he won't be clinging to religion, will it make him bitter?
