Born Yesterday?

In Italy there's a bit of controversy over Spike Lee's new movie Miracle at St. Anna.

Controversy and Spike Lee are synonymous and the scientific community is united in that fact.

More controversial, to me, is the fact that the author of the book the movie is based on, James McBride, is listed as the black American Second World War veteran.

That's quite an accomplishment since McBride wasn't born until 1957 and World War II ended in 1945.

Look it up, it's in all the books!
