The BLN wants to cut the state budget by that amount and DMEA wants to increase their compensation by that amount.

The President of the teacher's union said...

"We put forward what we think is a very fair first proposal to the district."

They've got a lot to learn and the scientific community is united in that fact.

"We do know there are some pressures with the proposed budget cuts from Governor (Chet) Culver, but we also know there could be an economic stimulus package."

Culver is recommending an increase in school aid of 2%, instead of 4%.
