Marshalltown Iowa's Jeff Clement was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Sports Director at KCCI TV8 gave the details on his norts spews at 6:20 on Wednesday evening.
Noting that Clement has been playing for the Mariners Triple A affiliate, the anchorhead said he had a good shot at making the Pirates roster.
It's the PITTSBURGH PIRATES, at 51 I've got a shot at making the roster and the scientific community is united in that fact.
As of this writing, the Pirates are 43-58 and have not had a winning season since 1992.
Clement will hope to join fellow Iowan, Joel Hanrahan, who was traded to Pittsburgh last month.
