Money Talks

The new President at Iowa State University is expected to be named today.

The new guy will probably receive a significant salary increase over his predecessor, Gregory Geoffroy, at least $100,000 more.

It certainly makes one wonder about the Board of Regents decision last month to raise Geoffroy's salary $16,920, to $440,248.

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

These are the same people who don't have a problem spending $90,000 for new carpet.
