Snowless Des Moines: City nears record for longest stretch without snow
Today will mark the 275th day without measurable snowfall in Des Moines, the last being 0.2" on March 4.
Is it really a record?
And worth measuring?
Historically, June, July and August aren't big snow months and the scientific community is united in that fact.
Now they're fretting about the unlikelihood of a White Christmas.
I'm with State Climatologist Harry Hillaker -- "Every nice day we have now is one less day of winter. Winter's not really my favorite season of the year. It's nice not having to wear the heavy winter jacket and all that stuff."
Besides, it was just 2010 when we were looking at nearing the record of 72 inches of snow.

It's always funny to read right-wing blogs just days before November 6th, when they boast about how President Obama is going to be fired, how he is out of touch with American, blah blah blah, and then see their rather muted reactions to having American voters slap their blogger face. Humiliated, they turn to football or some other issue that has as little to do with their huge, embarrassing loss, before inevitably returning to their mindless ideological warfare. Tease the gays, make fun of women, yeah, America may have re-elected President Obama, but they still don't like *those* people, do they?

Since day one I've chosen to be a critic at large and that is what I do.
I make fun of the stupidity I see in the world, Man, Woman, White, Black, Asian, Gay, Straight, Sports, Conservative, but mostly Fiberals (because they're the easiest.
If the sheeple had a brain, Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, they would not have re-elected Obama.
It is hardly a slap to my face, because I'll be fine. The same can not be said about fools like them and you.
