I'm having trouble believing her

Teree Caldwell-Johnson is the former Polk County Manager and is currently CEO of Oakridge Neighborhood and Neighborhood Services. A position she's held for at least two years.

Oakridge began as low income housing and has expanded services to assist their residents.

Caldwell-Johnson is now a candidate for the Des Moines school board. Today's Ragister says, the job has opened her eyes to the needs of underprivileged children.

I realize she may have been insulated in her six figure jobs in the past, but Polk County doles out millions in programs to assist underprivileged children and she would have been involved in that.

Caldwell-Johnson has served on the Mid-Iowa Health Foundation board since 2002. Their mission...to serve as a partner and catalyst for improving the health of vulnerable people in greater Des Moines.

She also serves on the boards of the United Negro College Fund and Planned Parenthood Foundation.

At best Caldwell-Johnson has an extremely slow learning curve and that makes her a less than ideal candidate for school board.
