Poll Tax

Newsweek is telling us that President Bush's poll numbers are now equal to Jimmuh Carter's.

I think opinion poll's are unethical when media generated because the alleged news is created by that media organization.

It also shows how lazy the news organization is.

Polls can be skewed so easily, depending upon questions asked and who is asked.

This government is run by elected representatives, not so called public opinion polls.

I can't think of one decision that is made in this country by public opinion polls.

Hell, American Idol makes you dial a phone number to vote!

I think people who rely on polls for their arguments are weak minded, with weak arguments.

Lately fiberals try and justify our surrender in Iraq by citing polls that purport to show a majority of Americans want an end to our involvement.

It's only a majority of those sampled, usually 1,000 and often less.

As I recall a majority of Americans surveyed originally supported our involvement in Iraq, by fiberal standards that justifies the invasion and negates it being called illegal or unjust.

So if you cite polls now, you'll need to be consistent and cite polls then.

The American people can be fickle and the scientific community is united in that fact.

In my humble opinion there should be a tax on media organizations for every poll they seek to run.

The press always supports higher taxes and this will allow them to put their money where there mouth is, they could even direct it to the pet causes they always publicize.
