You get what you pay for

West Des Moines has a city councilman who has been charged with theft for not paying for his prescriptions valued at $460.

It apparently was not the first time Brad Olson (pictured) made off with his meds.

Then a truck that was stolen well over a year ago turned up in the parking lot of his former business, Communication Designs, with his belongings inside.

TV crews filmed inside the office and it looked like someone had been living there.

Later TV coverage showed Olson living in a camper at a couple of campsites, that has brought up questions of his residency.

The issue was addressed at Monday's city council meeting.

Depending on who you believe Olson was given two days or two weeks to prove he lives in his council district.

Per WHO TV...West Des Moines councilman Brad Olson is on the clock. He has until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday to prove he lives in the city's second ward.

Per the Ragister...West Des Moines City Councilman Brad Olson must provide proof of residence in the city's 2nd Ward in the next two weeks before a public hearing is held to determine whether his seat is vacant.

How is it possible for one story to have two different outcomes?

It is after all a free press.

As far as I'm concerned all three are losers and the scientific community is united in that fact.
