This is what Bill Richardson had to say about his "God & Constitution" comment regarding Iowa's Caucuses...

"That was an off-the-cuff comment about the importance of Iowa..."

As I mentioned yesterday, Richardson made the same comment at the Iowa State Fair last month.

That's not off the cuff and it's not being defended by him as a joke.

"This was an Iowa crowd — I'm trying to score points, I'm moving up in the polls. So I don't consider that a mistake...".
