Everything old is new(s) again

The New York Times has a story about a TV station in Las Vegas that is allowing product placement on the news set.

In recent weeks, anchors on the Fox affiliate in Las Vegas, KVVU, sit with cups of McDonald's iced coffee on their desks during the news-and-lifestyle portion of their morning show. The anchors rarely touch the cups.

It's interesting that the station is owned by Meredith Corporation of Des Moines, Iowa.

Did someone in charge there grow up watching Russ Van Dyke on the TV8 News seated behind AE dairy products?

My friend Cal would have to verify it, but I believe he did a live commercial where he actually sampled the product.

The New York Times must be under the dillusion that news is fair, as well as unbiased, and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Poll: News media biased for Obama

*****UPDATE*****

I knew I could count on Cal. He said Russ Van Dyke drank from a glass of AE milk every night at the end of the newscast.
