(You Drive Me)Crazy

NObama's stance on drilling domestically is about as brainy as Britney Spears.

In what economic model does adding to the supply of oil not lower the price?

Especially with demand dropping.

That is exactly why Dummycrat Senator Chuck Schumer (NY) called for the Saudis to increase their production by a million barrels a day.

With their adament NO to domestic drilling NObama and the Dummycrats give carte blanche to the speculators, they supposedly abhor, to continue with business as usual.

NObama's energy policy is to have you inflate your tires to the size of his head/ego and the scientific community is united in that fact.

"Making sure your tires are properly inflated - simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they're talking about getting off drilling..."

If he actually believes that he's become OBIMBO!

Powerline figures...

ANWR: 10 billion barrels
Outer Continental Shelf: 18 billion barrels (estimated; the actual total is undoubtedly much higher, since exploration has been banned)
Oil shale: 1 trillion barrels

The U.S. Energy Information Administration puts domestic reserves at 75 Billion barrels of oil.

That means we could halt the importation of OPEC oil for 22 years!

Drilling domestically would be a huge boost to the American economy in job creation.

The mineral leases would gush into government coffers, in Texas $51.9 Million was generated in fiscal 2007.

Obimbo wants to deplete the U.S. Treasury by giving rebates of $500 per individual or $1,000 per family to defray energy costs.

Finally, Obimbo and the Dummycrats complain about oil company profits, the only organization that can continue to be run at a loss is government.

"In addition to making hefty profits, Exxon also had a hefty tax bill. Worldwide, the company paid $10.5 billion in income taxes in the second quarter, $9.5 billion in sales taxes, and over $12 billion in what it called 'other taxes."

That's a tax bill of $32.361 billion.
