I Go To Rio

It was interesting to note that a couple of fiberal newspapers have taken Obama to task for his O lympic efforts.

In a mostly glowing editorial The New York Times did wonder what he was thinking and advising that Obama didn't need this loss.

The Washington Post story admitted that White House advisers -- many of them Chicago natives, had a personal stake in the bid.

Which just goes to show that David Axelrod was wrong when he said, "It's the world's loss".

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

Taxpayers were once again the losers as this 14 hour trip cost over $1 Million.

At least Obama found 25 minutes to talk with Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

Is that only their second meeting?

I agree that most Americans would prefer Obama in the role of president rather than the head of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

I'm willing to wager that this O lympic bid was a mistake, they really mean that the Cubs are going to win the World Series in 2016.
