Parachute?

Polk County Supervisors should not act on a proposal from the County Compensation Board --

Pay exiting Polk County leaders severance, board says

The proposal calls for elected officials with at least eight years of service to "receive one week of pay for every year, not to exceed a maximum of $30,000" when they retire from office or lose a re-election bid.

Sounds like they're an Over Compensation Board and the scientific community is united in that fact.

While not quite on the level of a private sector golden parachute, this proposal deserves a golden shower because it would be a misuse of taxpayer money.
