Liar, Liar

Proving what he said recently on the debt ceiling crisis was just demagoguery, CommieTommie Harkin has announced he will oppose legislation to increase the debt ceiling.

Recall that Harkin said in a recent press conference, "Democrats are willing to do whatever is necessary to raise the debt ceiling...".

On the floor of the Senate CommieTommie stated --

"If there's a Democratic president, then Republicans have to come up with half of the votes, 50% of the votes to raise the debt ceiling. If there's a Republican president Democrats have come up with 50% of the votes".

"That's the way it's always worked. So one side doesn't blame the other side for raising the national debt ceiling. Well That's not the way it's working this time...".

More revisionist history from Iowa's junior Senator and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Harkin, and every other Dummycrat Senator, voted against raising the debt ceiling under President Bush.

Harkin's 50% here plus 50% there equals 100% St. Thomas of Equine Ass.

He's definitely not worth his $174,000 per year salary and $285,000 per year total compensation.
