Polk County officials have scrapped plans to formally turn “Veterans Memorial Auditorium” into the “Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.”

Polk County and Community Choice Credit Union are said to be surprised by public response to their symbolic rejection of the 56-year-old building’s name.

Looks like the community has already made its choice and the scientific community is united in that fact.

They could have only mucked this up more by adding a trophy.
