False Pretense

From the Beautiful Mind (Nancy Pelosi) that brought you we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, comes this gem...

“It is almost a false argument to say we have a spending problem. We have a budget deficit problem that we have to address.”

Really?

I just got this from my Congressman, Tom Latham, today --

Between fiscal years (FY) 2001 — the last time the federal government ran a surplus — and 2012, federal revenues increased $477 billion and outlays (spending) increased $1.9 trillion, according to figures from the Office of Management and Budget’s FY 2012 estimate.

That's a spending problem and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I think we're going to have to open up Pelosi's head to find out what, besides dead air, is in it.
