So you want to be President
John Edwards is just a blow dried himbo and anyone that buys his bs is none too bright either.
The millionaire trial lawyer who fancies himself the champion of the poor said...he worked for a hedge fund to learn more about financial markets and their relationship to poverty in the United States.
Here's the relationship... U.S. hedge funds, now numbering more than 9,000 with assets estimated to exceed $1 trillion, traditionally catered to the rich...
His employment by Fortress Investment Group..."It was primarily to learn, but making money was a good thing, too."
Really?
Because in March there was this quote...
"I think that Jesus would be disappointed in our ignoring the plight of those around us who are suffering and our focus on our own selfish short-term needs. I think he would be appalled, actually."
Edwards further explained his employment... "I didn't feel like I understand, and to be honest with you still learning right now, sort of the relationship between that world and the way money moves in this country through financial markets."
However we're to believe he was hired to...advise the firm about what he saw happening economically in the United States and during his travels overseas.
How can you advise on what you don't know?
The article doesn't state if the discussion took place in his $6 Million dollar mansion or his $2.5 Million dollar gated beach home.
...Edwards said it's legitimate to ask questions about whether there is a contradiction between campaigning against poverty while working for a hedge fund that is designed to make rich people richer.
I'm sure there's no contradiction for Fiberal Dummycrats and the scientific community is united in that fact.
And $400 hair cuts...doesn’t change who I am, what I believe in..."
So much for..."Every single one of us, every single person in this room, has equal worth..."
Edwards wouldn't disclose what he was paid, which is silly because he has to disclose it at some point.
Also of note, Fortress employees gave the Edwards campaign $122,650 in the first three months of 2007.
