Snow Job

House Speaker Nancy Pa-LOSER couldn't attend yesterday's Gore-BULL warming protest (Good Timing) because her flight was delayed by a snowstorm.

CONgressman Ed Ma-LAR-key (D-Mass) chair of the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming didn't make it either.

A few others took a snow day.

Someone named Kat wrote on the Climate Action web site..."I don't want to travel in the snow today. However, I am donating my bail money to fight mountaintop removal."

Now that's commitment and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Organizer's say 2,500 attended, other reports have it at 500.

Video from Politico.com (below) makes it hard to believe the first figure and is well short of the several thousand who were supposed to attend.

Discovery.com says...

global temperatures have flatlined since 2001 despite rising greenhouse gas concentrations, and a heat surplus that should have cranked up the planetary thermostat.

A professor of physics at Princeton University, Dr. William Happer, says we need to emit more carbon dioxide, not less.

Happer was fired by Gore at the Department of Energy in 1993 for disagreeing with the vice president on the effects of ozone to humans and plant life.
