CommieTommie Harkin is doing a crappy job of defending his $1.8 Million in studying hog manure.

"I know that you're going to hear it on the Jay Leno show and on David Letterman — a lot of yuck yuck yuck about money for manure and all that. And that everybody knows hog manure smells and yet we're going to research it."

Yuck, Yuck, Yuck works on so many levels for this issue and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Taxpayers for Common Sense lists CommieTommie as 8th among senators in the value of earmarks he won in the 2009 omnibus spending bill, 56 earmarks totaling nearly $67 million.

When he teams up with other big spenders, Harkin jumps to 5th on the list, with 177 earmarks totaling $292 million.

He can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan and never, never, never let you forget he should be canned.
