FCC outlines plan to increase high-speed Internet access

The Federal Communications Commission will spend
$15.5 billion to bring 100 megabit-per-second speeds to 100 million Americans by the end of the decade.

Yet only
5 percent don't have access to high-speed Internet.

James Taranto points out --
Considering that the number of households with broadband was zero a little over a decade ago, it's hard to see why we need a "national plan" to go from 67% to 90% in the next 10 years.
