Chris pointed out the irony of having a Foege named the interim director of the Iowa Department on Aging.

I had to let her know that Foege is not pronounced Fogey.

I'm sure most people reading the article would have the same thought and the scientific community is united in that fact.

She is correct technically, as the onetime State Representative was born in 1938.
