The President also said, "Our troops did not enlist because they did not study hard in school or do their homework, The men and women who serve in our all-volunteer armed forces are plenty smart and are serving because they are patriots."
Tony Snow, White House Bruce Secretary, said...the quote "fits a pattern" of negative remarks about U.S. soldiers from the decorated Vietnam veteran and suggested that whether Democratic candidates - particularly those running on their military service backgrounds - agree with their 2004 standard-bearer should be a campaign litmus test.
Bruce Braley, afraid it'll cost him votes in Iowa's 1st Congressional District, said Kerry's recent comments about the Iraq war were inappropriate.
He's also CUT & RUN from Kerry, canceling a campaign event later this week with the Senator.
A Democratic congressman told ABC News Tuesday, "I guess Kerry wasn't content blowing 2004, now he wants to blow 2006, too."
I was going to write something nice about Barack Obama, but that is above my pay grade.
I found him to be completely flippant with that answer to the abortion question, as well as through out the portions of the Saddleback Forum that I caught.
Obama lied when he said that abortions haven't gone down in the last eight years of a pro-life President.
Per the Guttmacher Institute, the abortion rate fell to the lowest level in over thirty years and the total number of abortions also fell.
I may have been mistaken, but it seemed that one of the reasons Obama wouldn't have named Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court was his inexperience.
He wouldn't have named John Roberts to the court either, saying his decisions confirmed his vote against him.
It was just last August that I posted how Obama was going to vote to for Roberts, as Chief Justice, until his chief of staff pointed out that would hurt him in the Democrat primaries.
His answer to why he wanted to be President lacks inspiration and seemed similar to his response to a seven year old...

Representative Silvestre Reyes (D-TX) is the incoming Democratic chairman of the House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
In a recent interview with Congressional Quarterly, a magazine that covers political and legislative issues in Congress, Reyes incorrectly answered a couple of intelligence questions.
Is al Qaeda a Sunni organization, or Shi'ite?
"Predominantly -- probably Shi'ite," Reyes said.
BUZZ...WRONG!
Al Qaeda, founded by Osama bin Laden, is a Sunni organization and views Shiites as heretics.
Asked to describe the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, Reyes responded...
"Hezbollah. Uh, Hezbollah, Why do you ask me these questions at five o'clock?"
Coming on the heels of Nancy Pa-LOSER'S statements...
"Asked by a reporter about how 'President Bush today blamed the surge of violence in Iraq on al Qaeda,' incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi responded with a disjointed answer about how 'the 9/11 commission dismissed that notion a long time ago, and I feel sad that the president is resorting to it again.
