Out of the mouth of BOOBS

Fiberal talker Jerry Springer recently shot his mouth off in Florida.

He told Dummycrats there that they have already won the national debate on where America should go.

By this picture it looks like America should go to BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.

Springer is actually under the delusion that the country is continuing to grow more liberal.

He also shared this with his fellow Fiberal Dummycrats, Conservatives now dominate talk radio because it is the only venue where "angry white males" can rant and rave in a country where the liberals have continued to win since the 1960s.

Ah, that explains it. Springer is still having flashbacks to the 1960s. I would expect as much from a man who paid for a hooker with a personal check!

Michael Moore-ON made news for supposedly being hugged by Republicans.

Moore-ON, pictured doing the Fiberal salute, said..."If you were to hang out with me here it won't be five or 10 minutes before you see a Republican hug me...."

What a Moore-ON! When someone puts they're hands around your throat, that's not a hug!

There's a good idea

The Hotline has an article that says former Senator George McGovern is forming a bipartisan council of seniors to offer advice on issues facing the country.

Saying Americans should listen more to their elders, McGovern, 84, said his ``Council of Elders'' includes ex-senators and members of Congress, as well as professors, activists, ex-diplomats and former union officials.

Signing on are token Republicans, retiring Representative Henry Hyde and former Senator Alan Simpson. Fiberals will dominate. Including former Defense Secretary Robert McNamara, former Interior Secretary Stewart Udall, Gloria Steinem, former United Autoworkers President Douglas Fraser, Children's Defense Fund President Marian Wright Edelman, Representative John Lewis (D-GA).

Also joining are two who I found interesting; former Iowa Senator John Culver (daddy to Chester, Dummycrat for Iowa Governor) and former Senator Thomas Eagleton.

Eagleton had been selected by McGovern as his running mate in 1972, but it became public that Eagleton had received electroshock therapy for depression.

McGovern stated, "I am 1,000 percent for Tom Eagleton and I have no intention of dropping him from the ticket."

Wwithin days of that announcement, Eagleton was replaced with Sargent Shriver (Kennedy in-law and daddy to Maria).

You don't suppose he'll dump Eagleton for Shriver again? Shriver has Alzheimer's and would fit right in with the thinking of these "Elders".

Dummycrats can't count, but can recycle

Thursday Congressional Dummycrats unveiled their stategy for the 2006 mid term elections.

Dummycrat Senatorial Campaign Committee Chair Charles Schumer (NY) called it his party's "New Direction for America".

That theme was tried in 2004 by John Kerry, pictured, and rejected.

According to Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (NV), "We have a hundred days to go before the election". OOOPS! As of Thursday, there were 103 days until the November 7 elections.

Dummycrats also want to focus on 6 issues--National Security, Better Jobs and Wages, College Access for All, Energy Independence and Lower Gas Prices, Affordable Health Care and Retirement Security.

From Kerry's 2004 commercial...."We need to get some things done in this country: affordable health care, rolling back tax cuts for the wealthy, really investing in our kids." and "a new direction for America to create jobs and put our economy back on track."

In 2004 Republicans chided Kerry's "New Direction" saying it would cost $1.7 trillion over 10 years and creating a $1 trillion "tax gap."

I'm sure Congressional Dummycrats will recycle that cost too.

Iowa's Dummycrats are the BIGGEST WASTE

In two recent ratings for Congress, Iowa's CommieTommie Harkin & Leonard BOZO-well are really RANK!

For the past 17 years, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste(CCAGW) has looked at votes in Congress to determine who is voting in the taxpayers interest versus who prefers big government and pork-barrel spending.

The average rating for the House of Representatives was 45%, of that Republicans were 73% and Dummycrats were 13%.

LeonardBOZO-well's score was 8%!

The average rating for the Senate was 46%, of that Republicans were 68% and Dummycrats were 18%.

CommieTommie Harkin's score was 4% and that was the lowest score recorded!

CommieTommie wasn't the only Dummycrat with the lowest score. Others in the quagmire were; Byron Dorgan (ND), Richard Durbin (IL), Frank Lautenberg (NJ), Pat Leahy (VT), Paul Sarbanes (MD) and Minority Leader Harry Reid (NV).

Also, The Club For Growth came out with their ratings.

Leonard BOZO-well's score was 11 and that ranked him next to John"CUT & RUN" Murtha.

CommieTommie Harkin's score was 0.

That tied him with 20 other Senators. Some of those 20 were; HRC, John Kerry, Teddy Kennedy, Robert Byrd, Barack Obama and Harry Reid.

She needs some serious psychological help

Cindy Sheehan, demonstrating STUCK ON STUPID with Jesse Jackson, has used some of the insurance money she received from the death of her son to buy 5 acres in Crawford, Texas.

"We decided to buy property in Crawford to use until George's resignation or impeachment, which we all hope is soon for the sake of the world," Sheehan said in a newsletter set to be sent to supporters Thursday. "I can't think of a better way to use Casey's insurance money than for peace, and I am sure that Casey approves."

Providing more proof of STUCK ON STUPID,
Sheehan's anti-war gathering in Crawford is scheduled for August 16 through September 2. President Bush is scheduled to be at his ranch during the first two weeks of August.

It's all about the little guy, REALLY!

Chicago aldermen passed a bill that requires big-box stores, including Wal-Mart, to pay a so-called living wage.

The Chicago ordinance requires big-box retailers that are 90,000 square feet or more and generate $1 billion in annual sales to pay workers a minimum wage of $10 an hour and $3 in benefits by 2010. It's the first ordinance of its kind in a major city and affects a total of 19 retailers, including Target, Sears, Home Depot and Bloomingdale's.

BUT THINGS AREN'T WHAT THEY APPEAR TO BE!!!!

Chicago's aldermen also voted themselves a "LIVING WAGE" that would see their $98,125 a year salaries rise with inflation over the next four years.

By mandating wage and benefit standards for "big-box" retailers, the aldermen can claim they did more than raise their own pay.
It was also the third time a "living wage" was approved on the same day as a pay raise for the alderman.

I'm reminded of this quote...."A liberal is someone who thinks it is all right for an 18-year-old girl to perform in a porn film so long as she is paid the minimum wage." Irving Kristol

I know you are, but what am I?

Let's see if I get this right. In a speech in Florida Howard Dean calls for an end to Divisiveness then proceeds to...

*Attack President Bush personally and on national defense, health care, education and Social Security.

*Call Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri a-Maliki an "Anti-Semite".

*Republicans and their agenda.

*Called Congresswoman Kathrine Harris a "Crook" and compared her to Joseph Stalin.

No Divisiveness there! Just like a Fiberal Dummycrat to call everyone else the names they actually are. Maybe Mr. Dean should remember when you point a finger at someone, there are three more pointing back at you! I like what Senator John Warner (R-VA) had to say, "I dismiss Howard Dean. Really, he's a disappointment, even to Democrats. I don't care to deal with that."

What do you mean IF?

Saddam Hussein has asked the court to execute him by firing squad
if he's convicted and sentenced to death.

The prosecution has asked for the death penalty and the court could sentence him to death by hanging.

I'm reminded of a Warner Bothers Bugs Bunny/Daffy Duck cartoon. I'll call it Duck season/Rabbit season where through PRONOUN PROBLEMS, Bugs gets Daffy to tell Elmer Fudd...."Shoot me now, shoot me now"!

Hell, she's still married to Bill...what do they expect?

The New York Post has an article about the money Peter Cook has given to Hillary Rodham Clinton, and other Dummycrats.

Cook is currently married to Christie Brinkley(Clinton, Brinkley & Cook pictured...he actually looks like John Edwards here), but the couple separated. Later reports have him bedding much younger girls, before and during the marriage.

Since 2000 HRC has received $13,000 in Cook contributions. The Post asked HRC if she'll return the contributions. "I'll have to look into it," Clinton said. Later Campaign aide Ann Lewis said, "Senator Clinton has met Peter Cook. We do not intend to return his contributions."

There's the CHAMPION of Women's causes and Children's Issues!

Cook has also given money to Dummycrat Ted Kennedy. In 2004 he gave $2,000 John Kerry.
"I met him. I think I know him," Kerry said. Asked about reports of Cook's adultery, Kerry said, It wouldn't have happened if I were President! Actually Kerry said, "I would want to know the facts before I make a comment on it."

Cook also gave $10,000 to the Dummycrat National Committee around the time of the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston.

Siblings?

I know they're supposed to be brother & sister, but I always got the feeling that Ann Lewis (both Clinton's shill) was actually Representative Barney Frank (D-MA) in drag.

I've never seen them in the same place at the same time!

Not the First, but it's the Worst

Keith Olbermann hasn't been mildly amusing since he was on SportsCenter.

Over the weekend he felt the need to, yet again, attack Bill O'Reilly. It's not worthy of comment that he did attack him, it is worthy how he chose to do it.

Olbermann held up an O’Reilly mask while raising his right arm in a Nazi salute.

Personally I'm not an O'Reilly fan, but that is overboard. Not a peep out of MSNBC about it.

The loony left never uses the Hitler/Nazi analogy for those who actually commit atrocities; Pol Pot, Idi Amin Dada, Saddam Hussein or Kim Jung Il.

I love how the Fox folks handled it.

Spokeswoman Irene Briganti....

"Because of his personal demons, Keith has imploded everywhere he's worked. From lashing out at co-workers to personally attacking Bill O'Reilly and all things Fox, it's obvious Keith is a train wreck waiting to happen. And like all train wrecks, people might tune in out of morbid curiosity, but they eventually tune out, as evidenced by Keith's recent ratings decline. In the meantime, we hope he enjoys his paranoid view from the bottom of the ratings ladder and wish him well on his inevitable trip to oblivion."

It's actually a BOOBY Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize has no relevance and meaning!

Look who have been selected for the Prize:

2005 International Atomic Energy Agency & Mohamed El Baradei--
They've done a fine job of curbing the spread of Nuclear weapons.

2002 Jimmy Carter--Hates America and it was a slap at President Bush.

2001 United Nations & Kofi Annan--Corrupt & Corrupter

1995 Joseph Rotblat & Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs--They just liked the names Rotblat & Pugwash.

1994 Yasser Arafat--The original gansta terrorist.

1990 Mikhail Gorbachev--Commie Loser.

Now Nobel Prize winner Betty Williams, 1976, has become the front runner to be a repeat winner.

Why?

"Right now, I would love to kill George Bush."

That's what she told a group of young people at a Earth Dialogues forum. Here's what else she had to say...."I have a very hard time with this word 'non-violence', because I don't believe that I am non-violent."

What part of PEACE PRIZE is she confused by? The Nobel Institute should rescind her award!

FYI: Here's a partial outcome of the Earth Dialogues forum...

"There can be no sustainable peace while the majority of the world's population lives in poverty."

"There can be no sustainable peace if we fail to rise to the global challenge presented by climate change."

"There can be no sustainable peace while military spending takes precedence over human development."

Looks like they'll give old Betty a run for the Nobel money.

From the Land of Make Believe

"If I was president, this wouldn't have happened,"
John Kerry taking a jab at the Bush Adminstration over the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict.

"The president has been so absent on diplomacy when it comes to issues affecting the Middle East," Kerry said. "We're going to have a lot of ground to make up (in 2008) because of it."

"This is about American security and Bush has failed. He has made it so much worse because of his lack of reality in going into Iraq.…We have to destroy Hezbollah," he said.

Tell me Flipper, how do you diplomatically destroy Hezbollah? Got Nuance?

*****Flashback to January 21, 2005 (The day after Inauguration Day)*****

An old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench.

He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine replied, "Sir, Mr. Kerry is not President and doesn't reside here."

The old man said, "Okay," and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry."

The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry is not President and doesn't reside here."

The man thanked him and again walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with president Kerry."

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Kerry. I've told you already that Mr. Kerry is not the President and
doesn't reside here. Don't you understand?"

The old man answered, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."

Bolton in '08

John R. Bolton is the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

He was appointed by President Bush after Senate Dummycrats twice filibustered a vote on his confirmation.

Mr. Bolton's recess appointment expires this fall, but the Senate has scheduled a debate this week on extending Mr. Bolton's appointment through the end of the Bush administration.

Dummycrats will again try to deny the right man for the right job.

On CNN's "Late Edition" yesterday, Senator Christopher J. Dodd(CT) was asked whether he could now support Mr. Bolton's nomination.

"No, this is going to be a bruising fight. I regret this. I'm sorry the administration wants to go forward with this. The problems still persist. ... Many ambassadors at the U.N. feel that he hasn't done a good job there. He has polarized the situation."

Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr.(DE), "Instead of wasting time and playing politics, the administration should nominate someone else to take Mr. Bolton's place."

Here's what Biden had to say to Bolton in 2001....“My problem with you over the years is that you’ve been too competent. I would rather you be stupid and not very effective.”

Here's where I fell in love with Mr. Bolton....In a 2002 interview with The New York Times, Mr. Bolton was asked about what seemed to be mixed signals from the Bush administration on North Korea. He grabbed a book from a shelf and laid it on the table. Its title: The End of North Korea. “That,” he told the interviewer, “is our policy.”

We need more people like John R. Bolton and less like Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Rodham Clinton, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, John Edwards and Tom Harkin

In need of Special Effects

According to the New York Post....

Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign army has increased its ranks to 50 staffers and more than 20 consultants, specialists in everything from fund-raising to speech-writing to hairstyling and makeup.

Recently released federal fund-raising records show Clinton shelled out $1,500 in April for Goetz to carefully craft her coiffure and another $1,000 for a camera-ready clip in May.

Clinton was so desperate for Goetz to style her gilded mane, she picked up the scissor siren's travel tab in April and expenses tab in May.

Clinton invested another $3,000 for makeup maestro Barbara Lacy to brush on some blush.

Lacy is a Tinseltown pro who applied the makeup to actors' mugs in movies including "Minority Report," "Runaway Bride," "National Treasure" and "In the Line of Fire."

HRC has raised $40 Million, so far, for her reelection. It's no surprise that a lot of that money comes from Hollywood stars(?). HRC's going to need every penny because Beauty is skin deep, but Ugly goes to the bone.

It's the LEAST they can do

I mentioned Friday (Critical of the Pickle) how America is evacuating, for FREE, our citizens in Lebanon.

I read an excellent idea from Rich Galen that was posted at Townhall.com...

  • Here's my idea du jour: In return for a free trip to Baltimore paid for by American taxpayers in places like Marietta, Ohio 45750, the refugees from the "most exclusive and expensive international outlets" in Beirut should surrender whatever unused tickets they have.
  • The State Department should hand those tickets over to, say, the Salvation Army which would, in turn, make them available to the families of wounded American service members.
  • The families - because we KNOW the airlines will participate in this - would then be able to use those tickets toward the cost of visiting their loved ones in Landstuhl, or Walter Reed, or Bethesda Naval Hospital.
  • That would be a good deal for all.

    Kick Off

To paraphrase Hobson, the Valet in Arthur, I'm alerting the media!

The only event were a KICK OFF takes place is FOOTBALL, American and otherwise.

RAGBRAI does not kick off! Taste of Des Moines does not kick off! there is NO
kick off to the National Balloon Classic! The Christmas shopping season does not kick off!

Sadly, I should not have to point out that a baseball game, a basketball game and a hockey game....DO NOT KICK OFF!

The next time you want to use the phrase KICK OFF for anything other than a FOOTBALL game.....EFF OFF!

    Biting Sarcasm at its best

From The Wall Street Journal's OpinionJournal
Best of the Web Today-by James Taranto

From a statement by Sen. Ted Kennedy on President Bush's veto of the bill to subsidize embryonic stem-cell research:

We will be back again and again and again until we end the cruel restrictions on lifesaving research that are denying hope to millions of American patients and their families.

And nobody is more of an expert when it comes to cruel restrictions on lifesaving.

He usually signs off with...Mary Jo Kopechne could not be reached for comment.

    Critical of the Pickle

I've had it with people, like Tom(The Pickle) Vilsack, who are criticizing America and the Bush Administration for evacuation efforts in Lebanon.

First- the blame lies with Hezbollah, period! So if you want to criticize...START THERE!

Second-How about some accountability on the part of these idiots who went there on their own accord!

It's LEBANON in THE MIDDLE EAST! Are you that out of touch with reality? As long as I can remember it's been in turmoil.

Here's what I pulled off the Travel Warnings section of the State Department's web site...

    January 20, 2006

SAFETY AND SECURITY: Recent events in Lebanon underscore the need for caution and sound personal security precautions. Former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri was assassinated on February 14, 2005 in a car bomb attack in which 22 people were killed and many others seriously wounded; the potential for violence remains. Since February 2005, there have been 15 separate bombings in Lebanon, resulting in ten dead and 121 wounded.

Americans have been the targets of numerous terrorist attacks in Lebanon in the past. The perpetrators of many of these attacks are still present and retain the ability to act.

U.S. citizens who travel to Lebanon should exercise heightened caution when traveling in parts of the southern suburbs of Beirut, portions of the Bekaa Valley and South Lebanon, and the cities of Sidon and Tripoli. Hizballah has not been disarmed. It maintains a strong presence in many of these areas, and there is potential for action by other extremist groups in the city of Tripoli. Tensions remain in Lebanon's southern border with the possibility of Hizballah and Palestinian militant activity at any time.

Palestinian groups hostile to both the Lebanese government and the U.S. operate largely autonomously inside refugee camps in different areas of the country. Intra-communal violence within the camps has resulted in violent incidents such as shootings and explosions. Travel by U.S. citizens to Palestinian camps should be avoided. Asbat al-Ansar, a terrorist group with apparent links to Al-Qaida, has targeted Lebanese, U.S. and other foreign government interests. It has been outlawed by the Lebanese government but continues to maintain a presence in Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp.

In addition, dangers posed by landmines and unexploded ordnance throughout south Lebanon are significant and also exist in other areas where civil war fighting was intense.

The Department of State urges American citizens to take responsibility for their own personal security while traveling overseas.

So now we have to go bail these idiots out and for FREE?! Why? Because the Dummycrats like the Pickle and SanFranNancy Pelosi are enablers. Even though there's a federal law that mandates reimbursement to the government if an American has to be evacuated from a foreign country. I have no doubt that most of those being evacuated are anti-military too. We're putting our Marines in harms way to save their sorry asses. To top it off, I haven't seen or heard a Thank you or God Bless America from the bunch...INGRATES!

    Barack to the Future

Senator Barack Obama (Dummycrat Illinois) will be the featured speaker at CommieTommie Harkin's annual fall steak fry. (Click cartoon to enlarge)

Obama(pictured with Teddy) was elected in 2004, but his name comes up in 2008 Presidential speculation. I've also seen it linked to a V.P. slot with Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Here's what CommieTommie had to say, "I think his standing has risen rapidly." There's the understatement of the young century.

Here's what Peggy Noonan recently wrote in The Wall Street Journal about Obama and a Time magazine piece where Obama compared himself to Lincoln...

Barack Obama, the son of two University of Hawaii students, went to Columbia and Harvard Law after attending a private academy that taught the children of the Hawaiian royal family. He made his name in politics as an aggressive Chicago vote hustler in Bill Clinton's first campaign for the presidency.

    You see the similarities

There is nothing wrong with Barack Obama's résumé, but it is a log-cabin-free zone. So far it also is a greatness-free zone. If he keeps talking about himself like this it always will be.

Mr. Obama said he keeps a photographic portrait of Lincoln on the wall of his office, and that "it asks me questions."

I'm sure it does. I'm sure it says, "Barack, why are you such an egomaniac?"

    Rekha Rebuked

GAWD is she UGLY! My suspicion is she was a eunuch(hijra) in India.

Anywho... On July 9th I wrote about RekHA Basu's opinion piece on allegation's of U.S. troops killing Iraqi civillians (Therapy for Me).

I also e-mailed Ms. Basu asking for dates of columns where she had railed against al-Qaida for human rights abuses perpetrated against Americans.
I also advised her it would be nice if she could get as worked up over the facts of those abuses as she did about four allegations.

I doubted then that I would hear from her, and no surprise I haven't.

There was a good letter to the editor in today's Ragister about her column though. Les Baitzer of Des Moines pointed out that Ms. Basu had called for the U.S. to turn Iraq over to the U.N. and that U.N. "peacekeeping forces" in Africa have committed hundreds of acts of murder, rape, theft and abuse in addition to massive misappropriation of money and resources intended to help victims there. He also noted that she hadn't condemned the U.N.

    Bravo Mr. Baitzer! Hoorah, Hijra!

Will it play in Peoria, Iowa or Protovin?

The DCCC will be targeting two Republican Congressional candidates, Jeff Lamberti & Mike Whalen, with a portion of their $20 Million TV advertising.

Interestingly the ads will be placed on Cedar Rapids television. Nothing for Des Moines or Davenport?

The DCCC stands for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and is being headed by Illinois Congressman Rahm Emanuel, former Clinton political brains(?) and ballet dancer.

The DCCC just last week(Scummycrats 7/14) had an ad that showed flag draped coffins and a helmet draped over the butt of a rifle as they try to show Emanuel and SanFranNancy Pelosi are what's needed for America.

    Pickle Politics

Over the weekend the Ragister ran a story about how the Legislature's override of Governor Vilsack's (The Pickle) eminent domain veto wouldn't hurt his Presidential aspirations.

Maybe not, but coming in fourth in their "Iowa Poll" and this Winnie the Pooh picture won't help!

FYI: I keep calling him "The Pickle" because a local TV weather weenie emceed a Junior Olympics function a couple of years ago and kept referring to him as Governor VLASSIC.

    Gore-bull Warming

    Maybe Algore's right!

Something's wrong when the Dakota's get warmer than we do.

South Dakota posted some of the nation's highest temperatures with a reading Saturday of 115 at Pierre, the state capital, and an unofficial report of 120 outside the town of Usta in the state's northwest corner.

That's pronunced PEER, not Pierre, for you weather weenies and you know who you are.

Sunday in North Dakota the temperature hit 106 degrees in Bismarck and 100 in Dickinson.

The feds say it's the warmest first half of a year on record. Worldwide it ranks as only the sixth warmest since record keeping began in 1880.

For me this is how summer is supposed to be. It seems we always hit 100 every summer as I was growing up. We loved playing outside and I didn't mind mowing my acreage Saturday & Sunday. I'll take Summer over Winter any day of the week.

30 years past the Polar Bears

My high school reunion was held Friday & Saturday, I boycotted.

I was first contacted last fall, and waffled a bit about going. I think it's only natural to wax nostalgic about ones youth as you get older.

A few classmates contacted me and wanted me to go and my twin sister told my wife she wanted to go with us. Although I wasn't keen on it, I was going to go.

Then an e-mail was sent, from the reunion committee, that had a distribution list that they forgot to supress. Contained in the addresses of classmates were the names of three people who went to school with us, but moved before we graduated.

I contacted the comittee member who sent out the e-mail and inquired about including the three. I was told that, "There have always been several individuals that have expressed an interest in coming to our reunions even though they may not have graduated with our class. We have always included anyone who has requested to be a part."

That's fine, I actually was looking forward to seeing two of them, but why the secret? What wasn't fine was how it was done, in secret by a committee(clique). I asked that they contact all our classmates to advise them that the reunion was open to all, I thought it was the right thing to do. The committee member didn't do that and I decided I didn't want to be a part of their reunion. I told my sister and some classmates about why I wouldn't be going. It's too bad, but it all seemed so HIGH SCHOOL!

    R.I.N.O. Ratings

RINO (Republican in name only) Jim Leach is rated the worst in the House at 21%, by the Conservative Club for Growth.

The full ratings of members of the House and Senate, for 2005, will be released this week.

Leach(pictured with wife Deba, not a typo it's DEBA) could possibly win back to back titles as he voted with the CUT & RUN Dummycrats, last month. They voted against a resolution that praised U.S. troops, labeled the Iraq war part of the larger global fight against terrorism and said an "arbitrary date for the withdrawal or redeployment" of troops was not in the national interest.

Losing the way in the Senate was
Olympia Snowe of Maine with 18%. Receiving perfect scores were Senators John Sununu of New Hampshire, Jim DeMint of South Carolina and Jon Kyl of Arizona, and Representatives Jeff Flake, Trent Franks and John Shadegg of Arizona, Mike Pence of Indiana, Jeb Hensarling of Texas, Ed Royce of California and Todd Akin of Missouri.

The highest rated Democrats were Ben Nelson of Nebraska, 35%, in the Senate and Melissa Bean of Illinois, 44%, in the House.

    Scummycrats

The Dummycrats have come out with a new video ad.

"Things have taken a turn for the worse"
The words appear over pictures of violence in Iraq, pollution, high gasoline prices, flag-draped coffins, and reminders of Hurricane Katrina.

"Washington Republicans have sold America out," say the next words on the screen -- over pictures of President Bush, former Rep. Tom DeLay and disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

"American families are paying the price,"
"But America is strong enough to change," say the words printed over images of Rahm Emanuel, Nancy Pelosi, and House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer.

The only spoken words in the ad come from former President Bill Clinton, "There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America."

The ad's final words say "It's time to do your part. Help Democrats turn America around. Sign up to join the fight for a Democratic majority today."

One Dummycrat has come out against the ad. Representative John Spratt of South Carolina
called on Emanuel(pictured next to Pelosi) to take the ad down, specifically objecting to images of coffins and of a helmet draped over the butt of a rifle, the sign of a fallen soldier. It may be because Spratt faces his toughest election in a decade.

The ad can be viewed here....www.dccc.org/multimedia/archives/new_directions

    Let's Do Lunch

In what ranks right up there with The Iowa Peace Institute, rich guy Ted Townsend is contributing $1 Million for a "U.S. Center for Citizen Diplomacy" to be headquartered in Des Moines.

It is written that the Center would promote the concept of citizen diplomacy--one on one, dinner table relationships between people of different nations and cultures.

I wonder if they'll have a Rodney King "Can't we all just get along? "Wing? Or maybe a "Why Cant' We Be Friends" concert featuring WAR.

I personally don't care how Townsend chooses to waste his money, whether on the Great Ape Trust or Earthpark (his rain forest project), I do mind how they waste my tax dollars.

They want $317,000 from the U.S. Treasury this year. Senator Charles Grassley, who helped secure millions for the rain forest, and CommieTommie Harkin think it's too late for fed funding. Congressman Leonard BOZO-well isn't so sure and will try his best to help, "I remain fully supportive of establishing the National Center for Citizen Diplomacy...there's no better place for it than right here in Des Moines".

    Censored in Cedar Rapids

After 14 months, the Cedar Rapids Gazette has dropped Ann Coulter as a syndicated columnist.

As a public service I'll highlight the funniest parts of Ann's lastest column.

N.Y. TIMES: BETTER DEAD THAN READ (Great Headline)

...Their reaction to al-Zarqawi's death was to lower the U.S. flag at the Times building to half-staff. (Ha ha — just kidding! Everybody knows there aren't any American flags at The New York Times.)...

...People have gotten so inured to ridiculous behavior on the left that they are no longer capable of appropriate outrage when something truly treasonous happens. It is rather like the rape accusation against Bill Clinton losing its impact because of the steady stream of perjury, obstruction of justice, treason, adultery and general sociopathic behavior coming from that administration.

This is a phenomenon known in the self-help community as "Clinton fatigue" (not to be confused with the lower back pain associated with excessive sexual activity known as "Clinton back")....

My 2 Cents, for what it's worth

A mere 24 hours after calling for the retirement of the U.S. one cent coin, "Penny makes no cents", the Ragister has an article about how much a penny increase in the sales tax would benefit Dallas, Polk and Warren Counties.

I'm no economist, becoming class clown in high school Econ to try and dumb down my peers, but it seems you can't raise anything(prices or taxes) a penny without the actual coin. You would have to round up to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25. etc.

That may not be an altogether bad thing. Maybe the morons who vote to raise their taxes a penny would squawk at a nickel or higher.

"People for Project Destiny" is the name of the group supporting the penny tax increase. They paid for a study that showed elected leaders in the three counties how many millions they could expect to receive. Naturally, the politicians are already spending the money before the tax increase has been placed on November's ballot.

She could be talking about Chester

Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke to a national convention of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

Because they were meeting in Ohio, the HRC nut told the ACORN nuts,
to add election watchdogging to its national agenda - particularly in Ohio.

You see the Dummycrats are still under the delusion that Karl Rove and the Bush campaign stole Ohio from John Kerry in 2004. However, just like Florida in 2000, they can't come up with one single, solid piece of evidence to prove their conspiracy theories.

    Said Hillary,
"Don't let them pull anything over your eyes again. I mean, I find it amazing that one of the people running for high office is actually running the elections. That should not be permitted."

Why doesn't she have the same concerns about Dummycrat Iowa Secretary of State Chester Culver who is running for high office? Is Hillary Rodham Clinton racist because the Secretary of State in Ohio, Kenneth Blackwell, is BLACK and Chester Culver is WHITE?

Free Them, Grant Them Early Release

I'm writing of the Iowa Board of Parole. They have made 3 sorry decisions in a row!

First they voted, 4-0 with an abstention, to release Ronald Veverka from his life sentence.Veverka was convicted of 5 counts of first degree murder in the 1977 Coronado Apartment arson deaths. The 93 year old Judge in the case believes justice is best served with Veverka dying in prison...ME TOO!

Last week the Board voted 3-0, to release Phyllis Nelson. Nelson served 3 years of a first degree manslaughter conviction for the stabbing death of her husband. Even though one Board member, Karen Muehlhaupt who interviewed Nelson, didn't believe her story that her husband ran into her paring knife and died after it pierced his heart. Another Board member, Richard Bordwell, believed she minimized her involvement. The Board believed Nelson to be a model prisoner because she, among other things, taught piano to 50 inmates and wrote for the prison newspaper. ---That's enough incentive right there for me to keep her behind bars for quite a while!

Yesterday the Board began the process for the release of Pierre Pierce after only eight months of a two year term. Pierce was the University of Iowa basketball player who was suspended from the team, but received no jail time, for assault causing injury for a 2002 sexual assault on a member of the Iowa Women's basketball team. Pierce rejoined the men's team, only to be kicked off after a 2005 assault on a former girlfriend. While he was awaiting trial on the 2005 assualt and terrorizing charges, Pierce violated a no contact order by stealing a cell phone and calling his ex-girlfriend hundreds of times. The vote was 3-0, but because Pierce is considered a high risk offender, he needs 2 more votes and those two Board members weren't in attendance. Board member Karen Muehlhaupt didn't think Pierce received a strong enough sentence, but voted to release him anyway(?). Pierce plans to continue his basketball career after his release. ---He's got the criminal part of being a pro athlete down!

I'm hoping when Jim Nussle gets elected Governor, he'll appoint Parole Board members who will be on the side of the citizens.

    Iowa Parole Board Members:

    Elizabeth Robinson/Chair--Term expires 2010

    Karen Muehlhaupt--Term expires 2010

    Curtis Jenkins--Term expires 2009

    Barbara Binnie--Term expires 2009

    Richard Boardwell--Term expires 2008

    It's the Economy, STUPID!

The famous words of Clinton campaign manager James Carville need to be directed towards the Mainstream Media.

Far too little positive coverage has been given to the thriving U.S. economy. Yesterday The New York Times had this headlined article, "Surprising Jump in Tax Revenues Curbs U.S. Deficit".

The Bush Administration is set to announce tomorrow that the economy and federal revenues are growing at such a rapid rate, $250 Billion, that the deficit will shrink in the short term, about $100 Billion less. Rob Portman is the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and he says the President's economic policies have led to exceptional economic growth, which has in turn led to bulging federal receipts.

The Times and Fiberals are the only ones surprised that the tax cuts they criticize are once again working. I know I've been a fan since Ronald Reagan righted the Ship of State, that Jimmy Carter had nearly sunk, with his "Supply Side" tax cuts.

Lawrence Kudlow, economist and host of CNBC's "Kudlow & Company" writes that, "Since the 2003 tax cuts, tax-revenue collections from the expanding economy have been surging at double-digit rates, while the deficit is constantly being revised downward." Also, "...over the past 11 quarters, dating back to the June 2003 Bush tax cuts, America has increased the size of its entire economy by 20 percent."

Just think how much better it would be if Congress would control spending and end earmarking.

    Italia defeats Francaise

Take that you cheese eating surrender monkeys!

The Italian's take the FIFA World Cup in a 5-3 shootout.

I'm a second generation Italian, so it feels good.

Especially when you consider John Kerry is a Francophile...Sacre' Bleu

    Therapy for me

Before I started this blog, I used to write Letters to the Editor of the Ragister. On average I'd get 9 letters published yearly.

The reason I started blogging was because the Ragister LIED about printing the last two letters I had written them. They called to confirm my personal info (name, address and that I had indeed written the letter) and advised me that it would be published. Those last two letters NEVER appeared in print.

I find that I don't need to write to them to espouse what I believe. The Ragister was too limiting in too many ways.

I almost fell off the wagon on Friday...it was CLOSE!

The Ragister put into print two musings of morons.... one they actually pay(pictured, small as to not offend sensiblities).

RekHA Basu's opinion piece went off on allegations of U.S. troops killing Iraqi civilians. "This is the fourth investigation in four months...". She then mentions Gitmo and Abu Ghraib and how she's "tired of human-rights concerns being dismissed....". She also wondered what if a foreign occupied force raped, tortured and killed Americans?

    THERE'S THE RUB!

Americans have been tortured and killed!

Roughly 3,000 on our own soil that started this whole mess to begin with. It would just be nice if those "majority" of Muslims and Ms. Basu would get as worked up over those FACTS as they do over these allegations!

The second moron was from Indianola. She continues "to be dumb-struck by the Republicans who are rejoicing over the death of al-Qaida leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi".

Shelly Dugan, in my humble opinion, I do believe you were struck dumb way before then!

Her letter assumes that his death "could only infuriate the evil al-Qaida and make them hate us more."

Ms. Dugan your assume makes an ass out of you, but I will not allow it to make one out of me.

I don't believe they can hate us more(See previous paragraph about the 3,000 dead Americans). Most people, not all Republicans, realize the hate runs so deep that they won't stop til we're all dead. Those struck dumb will probably be among the last struck dead because you'll be so busy appeasing them that they'll enjoy toying with you.

Aaahhh, I feel a bit better!

    *****UPDATE*****

I did have to e-mail Basu....

Roughly 3,000 Americans were killed in The World Trade Centers, The Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania by an invading force called al-Qaida. Americans have been tortured, killed, and raped throughout the world by members of al-Qaida. Al-Qaida, and other terrorist organizations, have a long range goal of our permanent destruction. It would be nice if you got as worked up over these FACTS as you have over these four ALLEGATIONS! Please forward to me the dates of those columns that address those human rights abuses.

    I doubt that she'll respond.

From the Department of Redundant Redundancies

After watching a weather wienie, today, say 6 p.m. in the evening.

I feel it necessary to offer this helpful little hint for the TV/Radio Personalities across Central Iowa. Believe it or not, it is a daily problem.

When you say "A.M" it is not necessary, and quite foolish, to follow it up with "in the morning".

When you say "P.M." it is not necessary, again quite foolish, to follow with "in the afternoon or evening".

"A. M." is the abbreviation of the Latin "Ante Meridiem", meaning "before noon'. It describes the part of the day before noon.

"P.M." is the abbreviation of the Latin "Post Meridiem", meaning "after noon". It describes the part of the day after noon.

This division of the day into two twelve hour periods dates back to Ancient Rome and used to be taught in schools as early as 2nd Grade.

    Pooh-poohing the Governor's pull

Nurses at Finley Hospital in Dubuque have gone on strike. Where's Governor Vilsack (The Pickle)?

For the past couple of weeks he's tried to interject himself into contract talks.

In mid June he called the hospital's CEO and the following week he met with nurses in Dubuque.

The President of the Iowa Hospital Association isn't too impressed with The Pickle.

Kirk Norris has taken note that the governor isn't running for re-election, which diminishes his influence in the state. (Lame Pickle or Limp Pickle?) Norris believes The Pickle is currying favor with the union as he prepares for a possible presidential campaign.

The Service Employees International Union, to which the nurses belong, has contributed over $150,000 in the past to The Pickle.
