Send her back to Arkansas

Polls are what dominate the will of the weak and the scientific community is united in that fact.

It's how we now govern this country though and keeping that in mind its time for Hellary to drop out of the '08 Presidential race...

52 percent of Americans wouldn't consider voting for Clinton for President if she becomes the Democratic nominee, according to a new national poll.

Clinton rang up high negatives across the board, with 60 percent of independents, 56 percent of men, 47 percent of women and 88 percent of Republicans saying they wouldn't consider voting for her.

The Mason-Dixon pollster says...
"Hillary's carrying a lot of baggage."

That "baggage" is shown as she dances with Bubba.

Hey Lady, Sacre bleu

Just when you thought you could start liking the French.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and alleged conservative, awarded the Legion of Honor to Barbra Streisand.

The legion of Honor is France's national merit society.

Sarkozy said..."You are the America that we love".

Keep in mind that the French gave that exact medal to Jerry Lewis last year, calling him calling...the "French people's favorite clown".

The French, Jerry Lewis and Barbra Streisand.

That says it all and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Perspective

I saw this in The Washington Times/Inside the Beltway column...

War and peace

Number of U.S. soldiers who have died in combat or noncombat situations while on duty since 2001: 9,185

Number who died on duty during the Clinton years: 7,500

New Mexican with old ways

In an interview with the Ragister, Bill Richardson...

laid out his foreign policy stance on Iran Wednesday, calling for a carrot-and-stick approach that would permit peaceful development of nuclear energy while forbidding nuclear weapons.

...I believe what is needed is tough diplomacy, potential international sanctions...

I can't think of one time sanctions have ever worked and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Interestingly, Richardson doesn't have a problem with Iran and North Korea pursuing nuclear energy, but why doesn't the former Energy Secretary support increased nuclear power output for America?

Here's his bottom line on the energy issue...

Americans need energy to get to work, we need heat and electricity in our homes, schools and workplaces. We are hurt by unpredictable energy price cycles, and by our nation's energy policy failures. The way out of the cycle is to create competition, to support energy productivity, new technologies and alternative fuels.

Nuclear power would greatly reduce our need for foreign oil and other fossil fuels.

It works in old Europe, like France and Sweden, it'll work here too.

Foreign & Domestic

You can't help but laugh at this headline and the scientific community is united in that fact...

Hillary On International Affairs

We know the Clinton position on Domestic Affairs.

Has Bubba been spending time abroad?

Counting flowers on the wall, jones-ing for a little bit of Monica in his life?

Penny wise, Pound Foolish

I had dinner with a friend last night who, much to my surprise, is going to vote against "Project Destiny".

I'm surprised because she did get sucked in, by the powers that be, and voted to increase the sales tax when it was supposed to be about the children and go to fix up the schools.

After its passage, schools in Des Moines didn't get their needed improvements and some were even closed (suckers).

The Ragister has a follow up story about the woman who appears in the Destiny brochure touting its benefits ("I'm voting 'YES' to Destiny so I can pay lower property taxes."), but doesn't own property.

This woman is 82 and by accounts was solicited at a Senior Center, my mother is ten years younger and easily gets confused.

West Des Moines City Councilwoman Loretta Sieman said..."I feel bad for the lady that she didn't understand, But I also know that the campaign took every step they could."

"I don't know what steps we could have taken," campaign spokeswoman Cyndi Fisher said Tuesday. "We went above and beyond, and she approved it."

Did anyone verify her address?

Did anyone check the Polk County Assessor's web site to verify she was a property owner?

It takes seconds, even with dial up. So you didn't take every step you could and you didn't go above and beyond.

If you people can't be trusted to handle the littlest details, how can you be trusted with the big bucks?

Shame on you and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I received my absentee ballot in the mail yesterday and its going back today marked NO!

Foolish Destiny

In three weeks voters in three Central Iowa counties (Dallas, Polk and Warren) will go to the polls to vote whether to increase their taxes.

Let me be clear...

Anyone who ever votes to raise their own taxes is an IDIOT and the scientific community is united in that fact!

Actually let me change that from idiot to Moroff.

Because they're more off than on in their thinking!

If you have too much money in your bank account, there's nothing stopping you from paying more now!

The powers that be think they can pass this off as property tax relief, but their literature deliberately leaves out that this actually is an increase in taxes.

As I mentioned last year...

According to the City of Des Moines' finance department, the owner of a $100,000 home would save about $84 a year.

However, that same person would pay $160 in higher sales taxes. That's according to the Iowa Department of Revenue and Finance.

For those that can't do the math....You LOSE!

The Destiny backers have also been deceptive in their promotion by not disclosing that a "resident", who is quoted, happens to be on the board of directors of one of the project's sponsors (a group that has pushed for tax increases since its formation in 2003).

The Ragister today features an 82 year old woman who supposedly said... "I'm voting 'YES' to Destiny so I can pay lower property taxes."

The woman now denies those are her words and she doesn't own property!

This measure was originally supposed to be on the ballot last November, but was pulled because of the fallout from the tax dollars that were wasted at CIETC, now they're wasting tax dollars on a special election.

It's no mere coincidence that it was put on the ballot in July.

The people that back this can't and shouldn't be trusted.

A Real Job Interview

I enjoy funny things, but I don't find Bill Richardson's job interview commercials amusing.

I think they're demeaning to the office of President and the scientific community is united in that fact.

However, it's his money to spend so let's see how his real job interview would go.

He'd be asked to explain his decision, in 1997, to offer Monica Lewinsky a job on his staff at the United Nations.

He'd be asked why, as Secretary of Energy, he failed to help implement a comprehensive energy policy.

He'd be asked why the Chinese Communists were allowed to steal nuclear secrets on his watch.

He'd be asked if he leaked to the press the name of Wen Ho Lee, suspected of stealing nuclear secrets from Los Alamos and giving them to Communist China.

He'd be asked why he criticizes President Bush for not following the Kyoto agreements, when as a member of the Clinton/Gore administration (that negotiated the protocol) he knows they never submitted it to the Dummycrat controlled Senate for ratification.

Richardson would not get the job for clearly fudging his resume.

Fame

Chris had a work function at the Iowa Cubs game and I, along with some friends, joined her there.

One of the people who threw out a ceremonial first pitch was Iowa native, and member of the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Clark.

When he came off the field he was encircled by people wanting his autograph.

I pointed out to a friend that a kid in a New England Patriots jersey, Tom Brady's #12, was in the group wanting an autograph.

The kid said something to Clark and Clark responded.

We watched as the kids jaw dropped and he then ran off in tears.

It looked like, to all those watching, that Clark blew the kid off because of the jersey.

Dallas Clark lost a few fans Saturday night and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Power Station

Just before 5 p.m. we lost power in a storm that blew through Central Iowa yesterday.

I went to our one corded phone to call MidAmerican to let them know we were out, you'd think a power company would know when it's not providing power.

The automated voice told me we would have power by 7 p.m.

I knew that was a lie.

NEVER, in the previous decade, have we been provided with an exact time for restoration.

7 came and went without power and I knew it wouldn't be back on Friday night.

It never came back on throughout the day on Saturday.

Obsessively, Relentlessly PISS POOR Service and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Chris called numerous times and it was always the same, they were working on numerous outages and couldn't provide an estimate.

My wife gets a little pissy without her power and she had to leave to attend a work function at the Iowa Cubs game.

I joined her after 5 and at that point we had gone 24 hours without power.

I called our residence a little after 8 p.m. and the phone rang and rang.

We have an answering machine and I knew if it answered we would have power.

I called again after 9 and was greeted with my dulcet tones, I told my wife we had power and she started celebrating.

I've got a concept for MidAmercian, Self Healing Network!

Get It On (Bang A Gong).

He gives lawyers a bad name

Last week multi-millionaire trial lawyer John Edwards gave us ABC gum (Already Been Chewed) when he brought back his phrase from 2004...

"We need a president of the United States who can walk and chew chewing gum at the same time."

Edwards later admitted he wasn't sure he could pull off such a feat.

Edwards is now recycling his "Two Americas" mantra.

Gosh they worked so well before, I see why he'd want to go to them again.

"Our tax system has been rewritten by George Bush to favor the wealthy and shift the burden to working families. That is simply wrong," Edwards said, according to text provided by his campaign. "There are still Two Americas."

There are two Americas!

There's the America that John Edwards owns and lives in and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Per The New York Times, Edwards (praying his supporters won't wise up) reported this year that he had assets of nearly $30 million.

Edwards is also the creator of a nonprofit organization with the stated mission of fighting poverty.

The organization, the Center for Promise and Opportunity, raised $1.3 million in 2005, and the main beneficiary of the center's fundraising was Edwards himself, federal tax filings show.

The Center paid for Edwards' travel to college campuses, one can't help but wonder if those are the same college's where he gave speeches on poverty to the tune of $55,000!

As the song goes... "Well, don't trust your soul to no backwoods Southern lawyer...".

He's got no business

MSNBC checked records of the Federal Election Commission and found 144 journalists made political campaign contributions from 2004 through the first quarter of 2007.

The Ragister's business reporter S.P. Dinnen made the list with a $250 contribution to John Kerry in 2004.

Dinnen said he wasn't sure whether he gave to Kerry or not. "It might have been my wife. She's active in politics." He said he wasn't sure how the campaign would have gotten his occupation and employer for the records.

S.P. Dinnen FULL Of SHIT and the scientific community is united in that fact.

It should come as no surprise that these alleged journalists contributed to Dummycrats 9 times more than Republicans.

I'd trust a Used Car Salesman

Before I'd believe anything that came out of CommieTommie Harkin's mouth.

CommieTommie, pictured with CIETC's Ramona Cunningham (whom he never met), responded with his usual lies in his press release regarding President Bush's veto of the so called Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act.

"...
The American people should not be fooled - there is no substitute for this type of research..."

"...
there is no alternative to the promise offered by embryonic stem cell research."

No substitute? No alternative?

Dr. Mary Davenport, obstetrician-gynecologist, and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology said last fall...

The plain fact is that embryonic stem cell research is proving to be a bust. There are currently 72 therapies showing human benefits using adult stem cells and zero using embryonic stem cells.

The fact is that adult stem cells have already produced remarkable cures, whereas embryonic stem cells have failed.

What I wrote after the last veto still stands...

George Bush is the first president to approve federal funding for stem cell research. There are lines of stem cells now available. There is no ban, President Bush vetoed expanding federal funding of embryonic stem cell research. If embryonic stem cell research was so promising it would attract private investment, like Adult stem cell research.

The only fools, Senator, are the ones who keep voting for you and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Shamelessly CommieTommie had to drag out another family member for his dog & pony show...

"...legislation that offered hope to millions of Americans....and in my nephew's case, spinal cord injuries."

"...We will continue to pursue expanded stem cell research funding until it becomes law -- for my nephew, Kelly...".

It reminds me of every election campaign when he would put his deaf brother Frank in his commercials.

Anything for a vote.

It takes one to know one

Nancy Pa-loser addressed the fiberal group Campaign for America's Future and called the war in Iraq a “grotesque mistake.”

Being an Iowan that supports Iowa businesses, I GOOGLED the Speaker and found these images that prove she would know a "grotesque mistake" when she sees one (in the mirror).

The Pennsylvania Pickle

Having left the Governorship of Iowa, Tom Vilsack (aka The Pickle) had struggled to find full time work.

He attempted a run at President, but pulled up lame.

Drake University professed a desire to have his lightweight lectures part time.

He's all charged up about his part time duties with Mid-American Energy.

Finally, he found what he's really good at....B.S.

He's back lawyering and now he's also lobbying on behalf of the teachers union (NEA).

Now you know why there's that saying...The first thing we do is shoot all the lawyers and the scientific community is united in that fact.

To the Death

Barry Obambi has tried to portray himself as being above the mud slinging of politics.

In speeches across the country Barry Obambi has said he's been asked...

"Why would you wanna go into something dirty and nasty like politics?"

It turns out Barry isn't better than anyone else.

His campaign put out a paper last week that referred to Hellary sarcastically as... "D-Punjab".

Meaning the Senator (D-NY) is a better representative of India because of her personal investments there.

Per the Ragister...Obama said in a meeting Monday that his campaign would conduct opposition research, even if it's intended to criticize his rivals, despite his pledge to avoid "backbiting and tactical" politics.

I have no problem with opposition research, or Obambi's campaign pointing out Clinton's Indian holdings.

What's cheap and tacky is how it was done, by giving it to the press anonymously and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Obambi didn't apologize and as usual blamed his staff.

He also appeared to defend the anonymous source aspect...

Obama ...said it was released on a not-for-attribution basis.

Its time to pull out

The situation in Palestine is such that it has deteriorated to an ongoing civil war between Fatah and Hamas.

Hundreds of people have been killed in the last year and a half of this infighting.

The United States is set to restore economic aid to Palestine.

If we need to leave Iraq because we're involved in a civil war there, it's time to end our involvement with the Palestinians too.

ABC gum, already been chewed

Multi-millionaire trial lawyer John Edwards is back in Iowa and in his best defense for his candidacy said...

"We need a president of the United States who can walk and chew chewing gum at the same time."

Chew chewing gum?

Who says that?

Its... WALK AND CHEW GUM AT THE SAME TIME!

And the scientific community is united in that fact.

I Googled the phrase " walk and chew chewing gum" and it came back with 41 hits.

John Edwards is the one who uses that phrase and that gum was already chewed by him in 2004.

Edwards used it in a Dummycrat debate January 2004 in South Carolina.

Has he plagiarized Lonnie Donegan of "Does your chewing gum lose its flavor (on the bedpost overnight)" fame?

Here's a chorus from the song...
Now the nation rise as one
To send their wanted son
Up to the White House, yes, the nation's only White House
To voice their discontent
Unto the Pres-I-dent
The bonny burning question, What has swept this continent?

After Edwards repeated the phrase in Iowa a reporter held up some gum, not Juicy Fruit, and asked...

"Do you want to walk and chew gum?"

Edwards reply...

"I'm not sure I can."

He can, however, chew his own cud.

Dig a little deeper in the well boys

Another Dummycrat was indicted in the long going Central Iowa Employment and Training (CIETC) fiasco.

Victor Scaglione is alleged to have lied to a grand jury about drinking and gambling by CIETC employees while on the clock, usually Friday afternoons at Prairie Meadows.

Scaglione received nearly $30,000 in bonuses from his employer.

With all the insidious episodes of incest you'd think we were in Arkansas.

Scaglione used to work in Michael Mauro's Polk County Election office.

Mauro is now Iowa Secretary of State.

Mauro's son Steve worked for CIETC and also received bonuses.

Ramona Cunningham, former CIETC Head Skank and pictured with CommieTommie Harkin who said he never met Cunningham, contributed $300 to Michael Mauro's campaign for Secretary of State.

Cunningham's daughter, Ruth Shepard, was employed in Michael Mauro's Polk County Election Office.

Mauro's brother John was on the Board of Director's for CIETC.

I feel dirty, yet ripping off the taxpayer is standard operating procedure for the Dummycrats and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I saw on TV that CIETC wants Scaglione to come back to work.

I guess that makes sense, today is Friday.

See you at the Meadows, I'll drink to that.

You make me sick

Dummycrat Lt. Goober Fatty Judge has named a five-member commission to make recommendations on policies the state could adopt to improve wellness and preventative health efforts.

First off they could recommend her picture in all eating areas, that'll surely spoil a few appetites and the scientific community is united in that fact.

The commission is headed by Dr. Selden Spencer, 2006 Dummycrat candidate for Congress who announced in December that he would be again running.

No politics being played here by the Dummycrats.

Survey Says... Pe-losers!

The Dummycrat controlled Congress has the approval of only 23% of Americans!

That's 6 points lower than President Bush (per the Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll).

Since January, when they took power, they've turned an overwhelming majority of Americans against them.

I call on them to do the honorable thing and resign, it's obvious that this is what the American people want and the scientific community is united in that fact.

To be consistent, all those that cite opinion polls in defense of their positions should be taking the lead on this.

Who Dat?

I was flipping around the satellite last night and came upon a Congressional hearing on C-Span 2.

Iowa Congressman Steve was speaking, but C-Span had the name of Indiana Congressman Mike Pence below King.

This went on for quite awhile.

The one camera would then cut to those who were testifying and cut back to King.

C-Span still went with the Pence name as well as cities in the district he represents.

As I continued to watch the camera picked up Myrlie Evers Williams, widow of slain Civil Rights activist Medgar Evers.

This was a House subcommittee hearing on Civil Rights and Crime.

I guess all those white Congressman look alike and the scientific community is united in that fact.

C-Span might be able to catch a break because it looked like King was sitting at the spot for Pence, but having watched a few of their televised hearings their camara angles have a way of making it look like someone is sitting in someone else's spot.

The Tax Man

I spent today supporting a friend and came home to find a nice big letter from the IRS.

They say we owe them $750 from our 2005 return and interest of $76.

Checking further we found it was because Chris won a magazine contest.

It was a trip to Miami that included air & hotel valued at $3,000 (Way overvalued by at least double).

The problem is we never got the trip, never received a thing.

The magazine's office was in Birmingham, Alabama and they were having hurricane issues then (Dennis, Katrina & Rita).

So I'll be filing an appeal with the IRS, I really have trouble paying for something I didn't receive and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Let me tell you how it will be;

'Cause I’m the taxman,

'Cause I’m the taxman,
Yeah, I’m the taxman.

Queen for a Day?

The Ragister covered yesterday's Capital City Pride Parade.

Here's the opening sentence...

As the line of marchers sauntered, swayed and bellowed its way down East Locust Street...

I couldn't keep a straight face and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Maybe its me, but I found a curious undertone to the article as it delved into the political side.

"It can be a very active constituency," said a staffer for Sen. Barack Obama, an Illinois Democrat. "If you engage them, I think they'll respond."

Really!

Grass-roots events such as the parade offer a chance for candidates to speak directly to a constituency, said Christina Butts of the Iowa Democratic Party. "It's not from the top down, it's from the bottom up," Butts said. "You can set the agenda of what the population needs and wants."

Bottoms ups Ms. Butts?

It can't be coincidence that the Gay parade is held on the same day as the Tony Awards.

'Bout Damn Time

In an interview with the Associated Press, Al Gore said that renovations are nearly complete to make his Nashville home a model "green" home.

"This plan has been in the works for a long time."

What's a long time to Gore?

Gore's renovation project, which he said has been in the works for months...

Months?

I believe he's owned this 10,000 square foot monstrosity since at least 2001!

What about his two other homes?

I think it's the one in Carthage that has a zinc mine and an oil well.

It's obvious that this is in direct response to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

That group, in February, made public Gore's electrical use for 2006.

Gore characterized that as a "...misleading attack by a global-warming denier group."

That's interesting because in February this is what the group said about "Gore-bull" warming...

...it's unclear whether global warming is caused by humans...

Hardly a denial.

I guess what a Gore spokesperson said then fits now...

"Sometimes when people don't like the message...it's convenient to attack the messenger."

That same spokesperson said...

Focusing on Gore's personal electricity consumption misses the point of An Inconvenient Truth...

The Fiberal point is the always hypocritical "do as I say, not as I do" and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I'm seeing a pattern

Hellary was in my neck of the woods yesterday, that explains the smell.

She proudly stood behind another affirmative vote by criticizing the No Child Left Behind program.

Makes one wonder, if like her Iraq vote, she read anything at all about NCLB before her vote.

Hellary's criticism, capture by Radio Iowa, came in response to this question from a soon to be college graduate...

"Hi senator. I go to the school in town and I'm a music student and I'm about to graduate and I have a lot of friends who are going to be BMEs -- Bachelor of Music Education -- and they're great people and they really believe in their subject and but with this No Child Left Behind program, arts are being cut left and right. I'm afraid my friends aren't going to have jobs. I'm afraid I'm not going to have a job and I just remember in school having all these great music teachers who helped me and will you do something?"

It appears NCLB isn't tough enough and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Hellary's answer...

"Yes, I will. Anyone who's ever heard me sing on YouTube knows I can't sing."

"I mean, you know, it's really tragic because it always sounds right to my ears and I love to sing. I mean, you should hear me in the shower. It's operatic."

More like PATHETIC, I mean.

"You know, when I was in high school -- still deluded about my musical ability I tried out for the spring musical and the director was a friend of mine and he told me I could be in it as long as I just lip-sinced."

"So you know, I know how miportant the arts are because not every person and certainly not every student learns the same way. You know, music and art and exposure to a different set of cultural experiences can ignite such a creative passion and imagination in some people and I worry that No Child Left Behind -- with it's emphasis on tests which are primarily one way of learning, you know, you sit and you listen and you try to absorb and then you try to give it back -- is going to leave so many kids out, kids who are artistically inclined, who have musical ability, kids who learn by making things.

"You know, if you were stranded on a desert island the people you would want are the people who know how to make things and that is a legitimate form of learning so I get very passionate about this because I think we are in danger of narrowing curriculum and leaving children behind, the very opposite of what they expected to have happen."

I know only an idiot says "You know" so much.

Desert Island? There's an relevant analogy.

I mean somebody's watching too much "LOST" or "Gilligan's Island", you know.

This all occurred at a fund raiser for Freshman State Senator Staci Appel.

Afterwards Appel publicly endorsed Hellary, no surprise since she's given over $3,000 to her previous campaigns.

Appel, who always has that deer in the headlight look, just completed the first year of her four year term. She spent over $250,000 for a seat that pays $21,000.

In a final note, Friday Hellary welcomed CONgressman Alcee Hastings to her campaign as a National Co-Chair...

"I am delighted that Debbie and Alcee will take on leadership roles in my campaign," [Mrs.] Clinton said. "With their help, we will bring our message of change throughout Florida and across the country."

Hastings was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives in 1988 and removed as a federal judge.

Hastings was found to have committed perjury and had conspired to solicit bribes/money from defendants in return for favorable treatment in his court.

It all depends on what your definition of change is.

A Day Without Me

I started a landslide in my ego
Look from the outside to the world I left behind
In the world I left behind
Wipe their eyes and they let go
In a world I left behind
Shed a tear and let love go

Bono (isn't that a species of chimpanzee?) was shunned at the G8 summit by Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Harper told reporters that meeting Bono was not a priority.

"I've got to say that meeting celebrities isn't kind of my shtick, that was the shtick of the previous guy."

In other words "Don't Come Knocking".

Harper also said..."I hope we do it at some point but my principle focus in public policies is not kind of to meet celebrities."

After the summit Bono fired on Harper and other leaders of the G8 by accusing them of deliberate "obfuscation" regarding aid to Africa.

Ouch!

Bono is the same man who moved his, and his bands, business to the Netherlands to avoid paying taxes in Ireland.

U2 can be a hypocrite and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Bono also like to quote the Koran...

"Righteousness is this: that one should… give away wealth out of love for Him to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for the emancipation of the captives."

Why's everybody always pickin' on me?

The answer is, at least in the Coasters classic, He's a clown and the scientific community is united in that fact.

You hear from the supporters of John Edwards about how things like $400 haircuts, his two mansions and speaker fees are "non-issues".

Just recently the Ragister had a column about Ed Fallon and his support for the rich girl...

He wishes the media would get off Edwards' back and away from Edwards' hair.

..."Nonissues," Fallon said. "People are tired of hearing about haircuts and speakers' fees.

Really?

Here's an excerpt from a New York Times magazine cover story on John Edwards...

Edwards came away from the 2004 campaign with a critical insight: campaigns are about who you are, not what policies you propose.”

He's gonna get caught
Just you wait and see
(Why's everybody always pickin' on me)

Hay, Suck it up

I'm not as upset as many others that Giuliani and McCain have decided not to participate in the Iowa Republican Straw Poll.

It's just a higher class version of the Iowa State Fair and the scientific community is united in that fact.

My friend Cal and I drove to the last one (in Ames August of 1999) and we had a good time.

Lots of food and some celebrities (Reggie White and Ronnie Millsap spring to mind), but it took a long time to get in and vote.

Because it's August (nothing going on nationally) and Iowa (first caucus state) is the only reason it gets attention, it's just really a big fund raiser for the party.

The campaigns buy tickets and give them to supporters to show up and vote, in a general election that could be considered a bribe.

Interestingly enough, on the day he drops out, I received two recorded calls from John McCain in the span of a half hour.

WHY?

Turkey in the straw
Turkey in the straw
Roll 'em up and twist 'em up
A high tuck a-haw
And hit 'em up a tune called
Turkey in the Straw

Bird Brains

On WHO TV/13's Newscast the two chicks on set have been clucking for Rob Lowe video.

Yesterday they got their wish when the actor killed the Iowa State Bird while golfing in the Principal Charity Classic.

It's easier to hit a hole in one than an Eastern Goldfinch in flight.

Lowe, and his fellow golfers, showed as much remorse as Lowe did after filming his home made sex video with a minor at the 1988 Dummycrat Convention...

As the rest of the players in his group — including Iowa athletic director Gary Barta — broke out in laughter and applause, the 43-year-old actor raised his arms in mock celebration.

"This is my birdie," Lowe said...

The TV talking heads were all chuckling too.

I believe Lowe hit the bird in the West Wing and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Money, it's a gas

This comes from Sunday's Dummycrat debate on CNN...

Wolf Blitzer: What is a "rich person," Senator Edwards?

John Edwards: I don't know if I know what a rich person is...

I think he sees one staring back at him in the mirror and the scientific community is united in that fact.

If he doesn't know what a rich person is, how the hell is he going to raise their taxes?

A reader from the Wall Street Journal's OpinionJournal came up with these clues for the Rich Girl.

You might be rich person if . . .

  • You pay 400 bucks for a haircut, and that's with the ladies' day discount.

  • Your house has more square footage than most Central American counties.

  • You leave a larger carbon footprint than the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

  • Your last three jobs were medical malpractice attorney, U.S. senator and hedge fund manager.

  • You can talk easily about two Americas because you own at least one of them.

  • You are paid $55,000 an hour to speak about poverty, and that's your college rate.
I would change one thing.

It should be HOUSES (pictured).
