When I first heard this happened on Larry King Live, my initial reaction was --is that show still on?

Then I thought, why?

After reading the transcript, my reactions are right and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Wednesday night King covered the latest on the Roman Polanski case.

One of his guests was Debra Tate, sister of Polanksi's second wife Sharon.

KING: Have you ever talked to Roman Polanski?

TATE: I have.

KING: How can you have a civil conversation with someone who so brutally murdered your sister?

TATE: Roman didn't murder my sister.

Holy Helter Skelter, the followers of Charles Manson killed Sharon Tate while Polanksi was in Europe.

Just Not Feeling It

I got nothing!

Although, I was weirded out when I saw Larry King throw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium the other day.

At first I thought it was a woman, maybe Diane Keaton.

I didn't realize it was a man, let alone the talker, until they introduced him.

The Journal delve's deeper into the words of Hillary Rodham Clinton, who for months has been saying about her 2002 vote to authorize military action in Iraq...

..."I was one who supported giving President Bush the authority, if necessary, to use force against Saddam Hussein. I believe that that was the right vote."

April 20, 2004. Mrs. Clinton tells Larry King: "I don't regret giving the President the authority because at the time it was in the context of weapons of mass destruction, grave threats to the United States, and clearly, Saddam Hussein had been a real problem for the international community for more than a decade." Asked whether she thinks she was "fooled," she replies: "The consensus was the same, from the Clinton Administration to the Bush Administration. It was the same intelligence belief that our allies and friends around the world shared about the weapons of mass destruction."

Fast forwarding to a couple of weeks ago in Iowa...

"At the time, I said 'This is not a vote for pre-emptive war.' I said that on the floor of the Senate...He took the authority that I and others gave him, and he misused it and I regret that deeply... "If we knew then what we know now, there never would have been a vote. I never would have voted to give this president that authority."

Was HRC lying in 2002, 2003 and 2004?

Or, for her selfish political purposes, is she lying today?

Dick Morris, who advised Bill Clinton, had this to say about the Clinton's recently...

"...Bill lies about sex, Hillary lies about everything."

He should know and now so does America.

I've grown accustomed to the great unwashed not being capable of independent thought, but I believe a journalist should be up on the facts or at least capable of quick research(ie...GOOGLE).

It's Getting Ugly Out There

Is the title of Jack Cafferty's book, but that's an apt description that works on many levels about Cafferty himself.

I'm not going to disparage his remarks, because in this instance he's fairly right on and the scientific community is united in that fact.

I remember watching Cafferty when he was a co-anchor at WHO TV, with I believe Phil Thomas who once was a KIOA radio "Good Guy" DJ.

Cafferty let his terrier defecate in the station lobby.

That might have been the first time there, but not the last.

Larry Cotlar used to let his mutt go on the carpet when he worked at WHO radio (in the same building).

It was after Cafferty left Des Moines for New York that he started getting in trouble.

He said on air that the weather sucks.

When he got in hot water he stated that they say that all the time in Des Moines.

Yes, just not on the air in the mid '70s.

There also was a time when coming out of a commercial break, Cafferty had his feet propped up on the anchor desk wondering what a Burger King franchise costs.
