Hey Sister, Go Sister, Soul Sister

Angela Davis dropped some wisdom on the graduates of Grinnell College yesterday.

All to the tune of $10,000 to $20,000.

Davis said today's student need to “blaze new paths” of fighting social justice – paths she acknowledges are different than the tactics she and activists used decades ago.

Let's take a look at Angela's path...

In 1970 Davis was implicated by more than 20 witnesses in a plot to free her imprisoned lover, fellow Black Panther and prison thug George Jackson, by hijacking a Marin County, California courtroom and taking the judge, the prosecuting assistant district attorney, and two jurors hostage.

In an ensuing gun battle outside the court building, Judge Harold Haley's head was blown off by a sawed-off shotgun owned by Ms. Davis.

To avoid arrest for her alleged complicity in the plot (she supplied the hijackers with a small arsenal, but claimed not to know the purposes for which it was used) Ms. Davis fled California, where she used aliases and changed her appearance to avoid detection.

(Innocent people always flee).

Two months later she was arrested by the FBI in New York City.

At her 1972 trial, Davis presented her version of where she had been and what she had been doing at the time of the shootout; because she was acting as her own attorney, she could not be cross-examined.

She presented a number of alibi witnesses, almost all Communist friends, who testified that she had been with them in Los Angeles playing Scrabble at the time of the Marin slaughter.

(Ruse is worth only 4 points).

Witnesses who placed her in Marin were dismissed by Davis and her fellow attorneys as being unable to accurately identify blacks — because they were white.

Davis' case was further aided by the pliant nature of the jury, which acquitted her.

Following the verdict, one juror faced news cameras and gave a revolutionary's clenched-fist salute. He laughed at the justice system, saying that prosecutors had been mistaken to expect that the "middle-class jury" would convict Davis. He and most of the jurors then went off to partake in a Davis victory party

(Setting the precedent for the release of OJ 23 years later).

Davis is currently a University Professor in History of Consciousness at the University of California at Santa Cruz.

The one time Communist, honored in 1979 by the Soviet Union and East Germany, does fairly well under capitalism and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Davis' tax paid salary is in the six figure range

I had the pleasure of voting against her twice when she was the Vice Presidential nominee on the Communist Party ticket in 1980 & 1984.

Finally, Phil Spector and Angela Davis separated at birth?

Service Preference?

Some people like their O.J. freshly squeezed.

I prefer mine in a can and the scientific community is united in that fact

Nutbush City Limits

The same week that saw me return from Maui to 3 plus inches of snow in April, the Gore-bull warming goofballs gathered again.

In Michigan they gathered in snow, rain and temperatures that were 10 degrees below normal.

When asked about the weather, an organizer said...

"I think that's an easy excuse, but if we're really reasonable about it..."

That's just it, YOU'RE NOT!

Watching the news I saw what looked like 10 people at a downtown Des Moines rally.

The report said turnout was higher than they had hoped...HA!

The Ragister reported there were more than 100...Ooh!

The TV news interviewed Ed Fallon, who pulled an Al Gore, by saying humans are the main cause of Gore-bull warming and the scientific community is united in that fact.

THEY'RE NOT!

Just because you say it all the time doesn't make it true O.J. Simpson!

I am going to try and use that quote in every blog posting and every conversation, and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Poor Ed.

I used to respect him, but he seems to have fallen on hard times.

He gave up a safe seat in the Iowa House, where he doubled or tripled his annual income to over $18,000 when first elected, because he got goofy and thought he could be governor.

I wonder if that's what broke up his marriage?

His wife has a steady job... as a harpist with the Des Moines Symphony.

Stim-U-Late-ing

The stim-u-less is working as intended, the stim-u-less is working as intended.

The President and his posse are mouthing those words because if you say something loud enough and long enough it must be true, right O.J.?

Obama said if it weren't for the stimulus “state deficits would be nearly twice as large as they are now...".

However big that may be, right Big Lug Nut?

Obama also bragged that his stim-u-less has delivered tax relief.

A whopping $13 dollars per week, if you're lucky and the scientific community is united in that fact.

The President, with that you will respect my authoritah look, says we need to be patient and that the stimulus was not designed to work in four months.

Really?

When he unveiled his plan it was supposed to revitalize the economy in the short-term.

"...We can't wait for the next president to act. We need that middle-class tax cut now more than ever - not five months from now or five weeks from now, but now. I'm announcing a plan to jumpstart the economy by putting money in the pockets of those who need it most and will spend it quickly."

When he signed the stim-u-less into law, in February, his advisor David Axelrod said the stimulus would have an immediate impact on the economy.

Paul Krugman, 2008 Nobel Prize winner in economics, said "...the stimulus started working before it began."

They're not the only ones speaking out of both sides of their ass.

Larry Summers, director of the White House’s National Economic Council, said last month...the economy has improved this year.

“The economy is in a very different place than it was three months ago. There’s been a lot of normalization.”

Less than a month later, “I don’t think the worst is over ... It’s very likely that more jobs will be lost. It would not be surprising if GDP has not yet reached its low...".

Dare To Be Stupid

Here's a couple of twits, err tweets with an Iowa angle regarding the George Zimmerman verdict.

Tom Arnold: "Dear Son, I love you and there is no shame in running away from creepy a-- crackers. #nojustice"

Keep that in mind, Tom, when Jax gets old enough to run away from home because his Dad is a creepy ass cracker and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Then there's this --

@Highway_30 (Philadelphia 76ers forward Royce White): "Our justice system is broken! Attorneys skills are deciding cases, might as well be sport, theatre. Justice should be more thorough. #Reform"

The most famous Theater of the Absurd, as far as trials go, happened early in Royce White's life when Johnnie Cochran helped O.J. Simpson get away with murder using the theatrics -- If it doesn't fit, you must acquit.

Consider the Source

Dummycrat Polk County Auditor/Commissioner of Elections Michael Mauro was really reaching when he chose the Editorial Board of the Ragister to defend his reputation from his Republican opponent for Secretary of State, Mary Ann Hanusa.

Here's what Hanusa said..."I have a record of public service. ... My record of public service is marked by honesty, integrity and credibility. Yes, Mr. Mauro has experience as Polk County auditor, but I also think his experience has been marred by a series of investigations and ethical questions, which should trouble any Iowans, especially for someone who is trying to secure the top position for shepherding Iowa's elections."

Ms. Hanusa was referring to a 1998 investigation the U.S. Attorneys Office opened regarding voter fraud in Michael's brother John's primary defeat of Gene Phillips. Phillips then ran as an Independent and defeated the incumbent, John Mauro, in the general election for County Supervisor.

Michael Mauro's rebuttal to Hanusa was..."While I was running what The Des Moines Register Editorial Board referred to as a 'pristine office,' my opponent was working for an administration mired in scandals."

HA! There's the CHUCKLE! The Ragister likes me. They really, really like me! Find me a Dummycrat they don't love.

Mauro, pictured small because he comes across as small & petty, mentioned that everyone involved in the voting fraud investigation was cleared in the probe.

Just because a Grand Jury declined to indict anyone doesn't mean you were cleared, or you're innocent O.J.!

Oh, The administration mired in scandals? Ms. Hanusa was Director of President Bush's personal correspondence and resigned to run against Mauro.

Still not sure what "scandals" he's citing, but if anyone knows scandalous behavior it's Mauro....

Mauro's brother John was on the Board of Director's of CIETC.

Ramona Cunningham, former CIETC Head Skank, contributed $300 to Michael Mauro's campaign for Secretary of State.

Cunningham's daughter, Ruth Shepard, is employed in Michael Mauro's Polk County Election Office.

Michael Mauro's son, Steve, works for CIETC and received a $10,000 bonus.

Victor Scaglione used to work in Michael Mauro's Polk County Election office, but left to work for CIETC where he received a $5,000 bonus.

Talk about Muck & Mire for hire!

That's a guy I want running elections in Iowa! Tom Vilsack and the Dummycrats do.

They have three political action committees, one of which is Vilsack's Heartland Pac, spotlighting secretary of state candidates in Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada and Ohio.

Secretaries of State control most voting regulations and influence state purchases of voting machines and the Dummycrats want the White House in 2008.
