Obambi gave a beat down to Bubba and the nut from Plains, Georgia too and the scientific community is united in that fact.

Barry won another Grammy for the audio version of his book "The Audacity Of Hope."

That ties Barry and Bubba with two Grammy's each.

Hellary and Carter have each won before, as well.

Sunday presenters at the Academy Awards were given certificates "representing 100,000 pounds of greenhouse gas reductions from TerraPass, which describes itself as a "carbon offset retailer."

...100,000 pounds is the total amount of carbon dioxide created by 20,000 miles of driving, 40,000 miles on commercial airlines, 20 hours in a private jet and a large house in Los Angeles.

Al Gore has gotten some well deserved criticism for the excessive energy consumption at his mansions.

Especially since he could be paying his utilities to utilize wind power, but "according to public records, there is no evidence that Gore has signed up to use green energy in either of his large residences. When contacted Wednesday, Gore's office confirmed as much but said the Gores were looking into making the switch at both homes".

It all smacks of those who, at one time, paid money to the government to get out of military service or paid others to go in their place.

DULL SHOW HAILS FLIX NO ONE SEES

...this Oscar telecast was a lot like past shows in which Hollywood lavished love and attention on itself, while the audience watching at home was left to marvel at this industry's propensity for gratifying its own ego.

It just doesn't matter

I didn't watch the Grammys.

I've long ago given up watching America bashing, self serving award shows such as; The Academy Awards, The Emmys and any others.

I wasn't surprised that The Ditzy Chicks won, but I didn't waste my time watching any of their interviews or reading articles about them.

I was a little put out when I found out that Jimmy Carter also won a Grammy for the spoken word category for the audio version of his book.

He joins two time spoken word winner Bill Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.

Hell, they gave a Grammy to Milli Vanilli!

Y'all never gave Little Richard a Grammy.

Elvis' Grammys were in the Gospel category.

I was so bored last evening that I actually watched a bit of the Academy Awards.

Sally Fields introduced some segment and in it mentioned every corner of the globe.

The Oscar for stupidity must go to her, and the scientific community is united in that fact, as the globe is round with no corners.

It's not the first time she's used that line.

In an award she'll present to Steven Spielberg, Fields says -- "Steven's sense of adventure and stunning, ever-evolving gift of filmmaking has affected every corner of the globe"
